Iceland Temperature Adjustments–GHCN Still Have Not Started Investigating
By Paul Homewood
Before After
In their latest Version 3.1, GHCN introduced adjustments that resulted in large temperature adjustments throughout most stations in Iceland and Greenland. The effect of these adjustments is clearly shown on the above GISS graphs for Reykjavik.
On 17th January GHCN were asked to explain these changes, but have failed to provide any answers. I did though receive this message from Jay Lawrimore two days ago :-
Paul,
I am very sorry but the one person who can respond to this has had one no-notice action after another that he has had to respond to during the last couple of months. I am sure he cannot get to it this coming week but we will attend to it as soon as possible.
Best regards,
Jay
Only one person? What sort of ramshackle organisation are they?
I’ll stay on the case.
Paul, if and when you ever get Iceland sorted out, you might want to take a look at Norway – they seem to be pulling a similar trick with Jan Mayen.

I think we know what all the others are doing right now……..
Would these adjustments be then used to effect a global anomaly? is that the intention? It looks to me like more dishonest tweaking of data to suit a catastrophic anthropogenic global warming bias.
On their own they make very little difference. However the effect may be amplified by projecting these across the Arctic.
I have now found more adjustments in Norway and Siberia, which will add to the effect. (I’ll be posting these up later)
I made a couple of animated GIF’s.
For Murmansk: http://cassandraclub.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/murmansk.gif
and for Visby Airport: http://cassandraclub.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/visbyairport.gif
Feel free to use and share.
Thanks, Hans.
The outcome of this example is similar too.

Thanks for the links to klimaforskning.com, we are indeed very concerned about the GISS manipulations. The eKlima Liberator database has been created by extracting all current (January 2012) temperature data from the http://eklima.no service provided by the less than trustworthy Norwegian Meteorological Institute. It will be more difficult for anyone to adjust old Norwegian temperatures with this as reference.
