From the official NOAA list of all time temperature records for each state, confirmation that, out of 79 records including ties, 37 were set in the 1930’s.
And how many have been set since 2000? Two.
Remember that when people try to tell you “it was not that hot in the 30’s”.
For the record, these were the states involved:-
Arkansas
Colorado
Delaware
Florida
Hawaii
Idaho
Indiana
Iowa
Kansas
Kentucky
Louisiana
Maryland
Michigan
Mississippi
Montana
Nebraska
New Jersey
North Dakota
Ohio
Oklahoma
Pennsylvania
South Dakota
Tennessee
Texas
West Virginia
Wisconsin
All in all, 26 states, well spread out from Maryland in the east to Montana in the west, and Texas in the south to Wisconsin in the north.
No wonder they have to adjust the temperatures so much.
