Letter To MP–Latest News
May 31, 2013
By Paul Homewood
I have now received a preliminary reply from my MP, Angela Smith, to my letter, which asked her to justify continuing with the UK Climate Change Act. (The draft of my letter is here. )
Her letter states that she has passed my request onto the Dept of Energy and Climate Change for advice.
This is quite significant because it is an acknowledgement that she does not have all, or probably any, of the answers herself.
Yet this lack of knowledge did not stop her, or nearly all of her colleagues, signing into law the costliest piece of legislation ever enacted.
We really are governed by fools.

Or rather, it ensures DECC provide her APF. (@rse Protection Factor)
I was expecting her to quote from the DECC factsheet, but not admit it!
I too had a similar experience, expect it was a Minister and I asked specifically for his personal opinion – off it went to DECC and I got what was in effect the latest press release in due course. The poor sod was too scared of the whips and of losing a safe seat to raise his miserable head above the parapet. Alarmism is a self-exciting system perpetuated by poor little frightened creeps. Don’t waste time blaming them – they are only human. We’d probably do the same thing in their position if we couldn’t earn a living at a real job.
The recipient Robin Edwards has died.
