Met Office Summit & The Mail On Sunday

June 23, 2013

By Paul Homewood

I ran a post the week before last about the workshop held by the Met Office last week. Apparently they want to know why the UK’s weather has returned to the 20thC norm, rather than getting hotter as they have been consistently forecasting.

It is therefore pleasing that the Mail on Sunday has picked up the story, and used a lot of my facts and figures, including the graph above.

David Rose’s article is linked above, and is well worth a read.

    Dear friends,

Comments would be appreciated on a paper in progress, “Neutron repulsion: Source of life.”

I will be on vacation next week but able to receive comments sent to

Comments on personal bias or distortions would be especially helpful.  I hope to complete and submit the complete paper for publication when I return.

    Thanks for your assistance.

    With kind regards,
    – Oliver K. Manuel

Well done Paul. And kudos to David Rose for publicly acknowledging you as the source.

To have really rubbed the Met Office’s nose in it, he could perhaps have described you as an ‘amateur’ (no offence), and, prolific Blogger on weather & climate matters.
