Shock News! Another Climate Scientist Cocks Up!

Back in March, climatologist Paul Beckwith forecast that Arctic ice would be gone this summer, a claim that met with much derision at the time.
But far from going away and reconsidering, he came back again in June even more confident of his prediction.
The picture below shows what the Arctic looked like when all the ice had gone.
Perhaps next year, this particular “climate scientist” might like to ask my dog for his predictions. I’m sure they won’t be any more ridiculous.
Perhaps, he would be better off getting a job with David Viner!

Now that is a perfect example of doubling down on stupid.
Of course Beckwith is a fool and nobody takes him seriously.
But more worrying is this talk given by Marshall Shepherd, president of the American Meteorological Society and therefore someone who might be taken seriously.

Six minutes in he says “some scientists project that by the end of this summer the arctic in the warm season will be totally ice free” giving the impression that this was a realistic possibility. When I challenged him on twitter about this he referred me to Beckwith.
Ironically the talk is called ‘slaying the climate zombies’
He really should take back his PhD and try a vocational school.

“Climate scientists” and other eco-types seem to be coated with Teflon.
They seem to get by on quoting each other citing each others’ BS.

“…more insight on climate change.” Do you mean there’s more to man made climate change? Just when you think that you have read, watched and heard every BS story going, someone finds another.
There are many theories based on climate change. The difference comes, only when countries and individual differs.

Click on the ships (mostly if not all fishing) and have a look at “Vessel’s Details” and most give temperature and wind speed/direction. They appear to be fishing in temps of around -7c?
If you click on “Map options” – signified by > at the top of the left hand blue margin and then tick the “Wind” box you can get present and forecast (1 day ahead) wind and temperature details for the whole area. Mighty cold up there!
With regard to any relevance to an Arctic Ice “recovery” not sure it means an awful lot. Just interesting to watch
