    Almost all of the previous warming is a manufactured illusion, by such tactics as massive retro-cooling of records and the 1990 Great Edit of the Thermometers. So the Pause is actually business as usual in the real world.

    And when the ‘pause’ ends temperatures will catastrophically rise, no fall, err….
    ….
    Whatever it will be a catastrophe because we the dumb voters have allowed politicians to bend policy to the UN-IPCC will, and so ensure a miserable future for ourselves.

    Local politicians and national politicians, voted in by the the public – a public that was guided by the rhetoric the MSM and so called ‘climate scientists’ – have ensured that the UN has sucked huge amounts of wealth from the West, ensuring that when more difficult time comes, we in the West, have very little to fall back on.

    I think Dr. Whitehouse’s presentation is honest, balanced, and right. Nobody knows, because to this point global warming has been a totally political(IPCC) event. When it ends, or just pauses, it becomes reality, which has a way of hitting us over the head. If the pause was really unexpected it is simply a sign that climate science is not nearly as well-understood as many scientists and politicians would have us believe. It points out in an unavoidable way that science is primarily about the data, not opinions or speculations.
