UK Politicians Help To Sex Up IPCC Report
April 1, 2014
By Paul Homewood
Ed Davey’s Dept for Climate Change stand accused of helping to sex up the latest IPCC report. This sort of political interference with supposedly objective scientific evidence is unfortunately par for the course with the debate on climate change these days.
Can there now be any doubt at all that this has nothing at all to do with science, and everything to do with politics?
Dellers has the story here.

No Paul, no doubt this is politics, not science. This is why there is no attention paid to the data by governments.
Dellers states “Green ideologues working for the British government helped “sex up” the latest Intergovernmental Panel On Climate Change (IPCC) report in order to make its conclusions sound more scary than the evidence warrants …..”
It’s my belief they did it simply to preserve their jobs.
I think the basis is science, but have no doubt at all about the political influence.
Besides exaggerating the severity and downsides the other ingredient in all environmental campaigns is to downplay uncertainties. Who wants to pay higher taxes for a maybe that has not been seen before.
I think all this explains the recent “exploitation” of extreme weather events, and attacks on “deniers” and those giving them publicity.
