For once, it seems, Weepy Bill McKibben has made a sensible suggestion:

So at this point it’s absurd to keep asking the scientific community to churn out more reports. In fact, it might almost be more useful if they went on strike: until you pay attention to what we’ve already told you, we won’t be telling you more. Work with what you’ve got.

Without realising it, he has actually hit the nail on the head. We keep being told “the science is settled”, so why is there any more need to throw billions into more research?

Unfortunately, when there are such lavish grants on offer, I somehow don’t think many “scientists” will be taking him up on his offer!

Climate scientists going on strike – is akin to welfare queens going on strike. I think they should get our full support – for the strike! Then the world can ignore them and nothing would change.

Oh Wait! one thing would change. Truly deserving and needy people might be a bit warmer in the winter, with a bit more food for their children.

This might happen after 2015 if the UN doesn’t get a global “climate” treaty. Until then, too many governments need more scare stories – too bad people aren’t listening. The whole enchilada revolves around the US fall elections.

Paul : the biggest laugh is the survey on his page. Despite the deceiving big tick on the pic that is 83% say NO to “Do you see climate change as a threat to your life or well-being?” (from 10,000+ voters)

    It´s a Climate Astrologers strike
… cos a scientists would say “no I cannot predict the climate 100 years in advance”
..anyone who thinks they can is a Climate Astrologer

Strike? If the issue is settled they can just quit. 😉

If any of these man-made global warmer/changers actually believed their own hysteria, they’d be building steel shelters in the mountains, stocking it with decades worth of food , water and supplies for themselves and their families.
They aren’t doing that. and that means they don’t truly believe their own warnings.
