As a follow up to my post on the drought in California, I must mention this article in Time, which appeared in May.

 

 

“The worst drought since tracking began”

 

 

Sounds pretty scary eh? Well, perhaps not.

So we have the worst drought since 2000?  Unprecedented over the past decade and a half!

 

I’m not sure who’s worse. Climatologists for coming out with such nonsense, or journalists for printing it.

    There is a story here. The story is that the federal government only started to monitor flood levels in the year 2000. I can imagine Conan O’Brian solemnly intoning “In the year 2000, the federal government will begin measuring floods in California!!”
