No Warming In Antarctica During Satellite Record

According to GHG theory, it is the poles which should be warming fastest. Apparently, nobody told the South Pole.

Even in summer months, satellites show no trend.

And to complete the picture, Southern Ocean temperatures have been way below average since 2005.

Is this data agreed upon by those who are claiming CO2 induced global warming and by those who are proposing the models, or are their observations telling them something else.

clearly, it is not warming in the arctic either….
My own results show that it has been cooling significantly in Alaska, at a rate of -0.55K per decade since 1998 (Average of ten weather stations).

That is almost one whole degree C since 1998. And it seems NOBODY is telling the poor farmers there that it is not going to get any better.

But Paul, it was only last summer that Aunty reported:

” ‘Weedy thing’ thrives as Antarctic shores warm.

The warmer temperatures have helped Fenestrulina rugula to thrive at the expense of other species.

The sea off the peninsula is freezing less so more icebergs are battering the shores, smashing the creatures that live there.”

Perhaps Mr McGrath should be alerted?

Interesting drop in Southern Ocean temperatures, maybe the heat went on vacation to Australia, which shows a step-up in maximum temperatures around that time in the SE corner.

Thanks Paul. Antarctica is where CO2 should be most potent, but it seems the force is not with it. 😉

The seas around the Antarctic have been cooled by all the melting ice.
Obviously the result of Global warming.

I hope you are being sarcastic. Antarctic ice has been at very high levels, i.e it is melting less than previously.

If you look at the rate of change in temperature, I have three curves that show that is has been globally cooling since 1994/1995

(you can simply calculate where y=0 in the equation at the bottom of each table)

For those suffering from graph fatigue, the global warming thingy can be explained away relatively simply – The 2014 Liar of the Year, President Obama, wants you to believe in man-made global warming. To those with any remaining hint of common-sense, this should lead to Gruber fatigue.

I see a number of government or government connected website saying the Antrctic ice is melting fast. It’s suprising how they are willing to comply when they are looking at being shut down or government funding cut off or even fired from their job.

Reblogged this on Sierra Foothill Commentary and commented:
Steven Frisch, Sierra Business Council CEO, challenged one of my posts on the lack of climate change. His claim was that Antarctica was melting, as a result of increased human CO2 emissions. I promised to provide additional information on Antarctica temperatures. Here is some information for his consideration.

Hush, climate scientist at work: “Let me make a few changes to the model… I’ll change this plus sign to a minus… add a little fudge factor here… Now let me make a few minor corrections to the historical record… just a few more small decreases in the past… and voila! See the models do work.”

When I was instructor of Geography at the local university – I included three sections on “Climate” in my 3 semester hour course. When discussing Antarctica, evidence of “thickening of the ice cap” in the center of the continent was presented along with loss of ice shelf/cover around the Antarctic Peninsula. While the ice shelves of West Antarctica and the peninsula were receding or breaking off – those of East Antarctica (smaller of course) were expanding into the ocean. The partial explanation seemed to include evidence of undersea volcanic activity along the Antarctic west coast from the end of the Antarctic Peninsula [near the southern end of South America] to the Ross ice shelf. The ice seemed to be “melting from below” as there was little evidence of the ice shelves thinning on the surfaces.

My results suggest that earth is cooling from the top latitudes downward but no cooling is observed at many places of lower latitudes due to more condensation energy coming free.
