Revolving Doors At Forewind

The giant Dogger Bank offshore wind farm, approved by DECC this week, is being developed by Forewind Ltd, a consortium of RWE, SSE, Statkraft and Statoil. Its chairman is none other than Charles Hendry, who took over from Lord Deben in 2013.
Who is this Charles Hendry, I hear you ask! The press release from Forewind on his appointment tell you all you need to know.

Talk about revolving doors! Forewind are set to benefit hugely from subsidies, paid by consumers, which are a direct result of the “renewables energy policy” that Hendry has played “ a major role in developing”.
And Hendry, himself, is also doing very nicely out of the arrangement. This is from his Register of Interests in Parliament, where he is still an MP.

A nice tidy sum of £48000 a year for services rendered.
But this is not the only financial interest he has in energy companies. As Senior Advisor to Atlantic Superconnection Corporation, he earned £18000 in a year.
And another £60000, as consultant to the Vitol Group, who seem to have lots of fingers in lots of different energy pies.
Intriguingly, Vitol own a gas power station in Immingham, which their website describes:

Ironically, this plant produces about the same amount of electricity as the Dogger Bank will, at far lower cost and more reliably.
Our Mr Hendry is also Director of Bombo Ltd, a business consultancy, which were paid £22500 last year by the aforesaid Atlantic Superconnection Corporation and Vitol.
So in total, Hendry has received £148,500 from these outside interests in the last year or so.
Not that any of this lucrative work stopped him enjoying a jolly at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games last year, courtesy of BP. After all, it is best to know who your friends for when the renewable scam comes to an end.
I am sure his constituents will be delighted to know that he is profiting so well from his time in office.

My guess is all of MSM will run this. AGW belief will plummet due to the large number women who have been conned into believing it.

Evidently trying to live out the smutty fantasy novels he writes.
He is a crook.
A novel form of insider trading, for which the Law has no answer. Pity really, 30 years in a cell would do him the world of good.
Not unlike the revolving door that exists at the executive level between the United States Department of Energy and various companies who profit handsomely from doing business with the federal government. No doubt the same scenario exists between every federal agency and private industry, and no one at the congressional level bats an eye. I suppose they are too busy laying the groundwork for their own private sector careers after their “public service” is over.
