Tony Heller once again calls out Katharine Hayhoe for outright lies.

According to Scientific American about the Texas floods earlier this year:

In a Facebook post Sunday, high-profile climate researcher Katharine Hayhoe, director of Texas Tech University’s Climate Science Center, stated that “climate change will affect us in the ways we’re already vulnerable to climate and weather today, and Texas is no exception.”

While extreme weather events like droughts and floods occur naturally in Texas, precipitation in the state is becoming more variable, making droughts more potent and increasing the risk of heavy rainfall and flooding, Hayhoe said.

“Science does not say that climate change is CAUSING the extreme rain and drought we’re seeing across the U.S. today, and in recent years,” she said. “Just like steroids make a baseball player stronger, climate change EXACERBATES many of our weather extremes, making many of them, on average, worse than they would have been naturally.”

It is easy to know when she is lying, and you don’t have to even watch her open her mouth. Unfortunately for her, the facts speak for themselves.

USHCN offer 15 sites with long term records, with little missing data:

Through the USHCN system, we can get whisker plots of daily precipitation for each of these:

I defy anyone to find any evidence that extreme rainfall is getting worse in Texas.

Terrific work. Paul. If only the editors of these journals asked for the evidence instead of providing a platform for unsubstantiated alarmism we might get a lot nearer to the truth. Editors should be forced to publish the truth when it is supplied, just as in the case where they publish libel.

Evidence. Data. That is all Hayhoe left out. She should have called you Paul. You could have put the graph together for her. /sarc

She was in one of the BBC’s alarmist programmes, but I can’t recall which. It was obvious then that she was not a proper scientist but she definitely was a serial liar.

Wasn’t she one of the ‘climate scientists’ that Sir Paul Nurse trotted out to back his views on that memorable programme?

“climate change EXACERBATES many of our weather extremes, making many of them, on average, worse than they would have been naturally.”

That implies that there are also weather events that are now better then they would have been without human impact. Funny, never hear about that. Probably not monitored due to no scare story effect.

The really funny thing is that Tony gets away scot-free naming these people FRAUDS on a public blog.

They WILL NOT DARE take him to court over it because that would expose the whole AGW LIE.
