Chinese Snub For Weak Obama

September 4, 2016

By Paul Homewood

This story from Yahoo News may be a storm in a teacup, but is symptomatic of a much wider problem, which the media has continued to ignore:

US President Barack Obama, often heralded as the world’s most powerful leader, was forced to go out of Air Force One’s "ass" when his plane landed in China in what has been regarded as a sharp and calculated diplomatic snub by Beijing.

With no staircase provided for him to emerge from the usual door – which is at the front of Air Force One – Obama had to disembark from the exit of the plane’s belly marking a pointed departure from protocol . This alternative exit was little used in the past and that too only for security purposes. As he was going out of Air Force One’s door, he was barely visible to reporters and photographers, who were kept under the wing of the aircraft by a blue tape.

Conspicuously, there was also no red-carpet welcome for the US president at the tarmac unlike in the case of most other leaders including Russia President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Theresa May, South Korean President Park Geun-hye and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. All the leaders are in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou for the G20 summit.

Obama’s unusual exit and the less-than-graceful welcome were shortly followed by a verbal encounter between the American press corps and Chinese security officials. The US National Security Adviser, Susan Rice, who the New York Times said, was "baffled and annoyed" by the arrangements, later told reporters about the alleged diplomatic snub by the Chinese: "They did things that weren’t anticipated."

During the altercation, a Chinese security official was caught on the video telling a US presidential aide: "This is our country! This is our airport!" Chinese officials have not yet commented on the episode.

"It sure looks like a straight up snub. This clearly plays very much into the [idea]: ‘Look, we can make the American president go out of the ass of the plane,’" Bill Bishop, a Chinese expert who closely tracks political developments in Beijing, told the Guardian. "The idea that they have been preparing for well over a year for the G20 but suddenly there be a malfunction with the ramp just for one president … that really strains credulity." Multiple others have also said that the treatment given to the US president was not a cock-up.

When asked about potential conflicts and the cold reception, Obama told a press conference, "the seams are showing a little more than usual", but quickly played it down by adding: "I wouldn’t over-crank the significance of it."

There are a number of areas where the US is at loggerheads with China, such as cyber warfare, industrial espionage, South China Sea aggression, Sino-Japanese relations, human rights, dumping of goods in export markets, Yuan devaluation and many others.

Ordinarily, US/Chinese relations would be frosty at best, and you would expect the US to be exerting plenty of muscle to protect its own interest, and that of its allies.

However, Obama’s desperation to get China to sign up to his climate agenda appears to have led to a much more softly softly approach to China.

It is unsurprising, therefore, that the Chinese see Obama as a weak leader, one who they can treat as dismissively as they did yesterday.

As for the climate deal, Josh (as usual) says it all:

This is really a pathetic and sad scenario that Josh has caught – just look at the detail of the handshake. How are the mighty fallen..

Apart from our BBC, other world commentators seem underwhelmed or even embarrassed by the ratification of this earth saving climate deal.

If this is the reception that Obama receives by the Chinese, imagine just what it will be for Hillary Clinton if she is elected.

Once again, China plays the USA like a yo-yo. Its one thing that Obama is a fool, and he is a fool, but if you’re the President of the United States and know how to flex your stature of power, you will still command respect and be shown accordingly that respect. But when you carry yourself like a goofus, it matters not what power you hold, the world will treat you like what you really are, a goofus.

    Obama you are a goofus.

Can you imagine what 1.5 billion Chinese around the world are feeling right now! If ever a single man could inject so much ridicule upon himself, and at the same time inject the same amount of mocked irreverence upon his country, while emboldening the entire nation of China, that man would be decried as a humiliating, ignominious disgrace, alla Obama.

Next time, Obama, when you’re coming out of the service door of the plan, take the trash out with you – to a Chinese, I think that statement might well be construed as a non sequitur!

This is what happens when you have a pacifist leader. Pacifists claim their approach is the peaceful one, that saves lives instead of taking lives, but all pacifism really does is embolded the psychopaths and megalomaniacs of the world and leads to greater conflicts.

Obama has not only embolded the Chinese leadership, but also Russia, Iran, North Korea, the Islamic Terror Army, and every other foe of the U.S. Look at how the Iranian gunboats harrass U.S. naval ships. They do it because they know they can get away with it.

Pacifism makes things more dangerous, not better. Pacifism is a denial of reality and human nature. It is a philosophy adopted by those who do not want to confront physical danger originating from bad actors around the world. Their solution is to pretend there are no bad actors, only misunderstood, potential friends, who can be reasoned with.

The dictators and tyrants of the world possibly only have about five more months to operate in this pacifist atmosphere, so during these next five months it will be interesting to see just how much our adversaries feel they can push their envelope during Obama’s final five months, because there is no guarantee for them that this atmosphere will continue past the next presidential election. I think I can assure you Trump will have a different approach to all these problems, if he is elected.

Respect, especially for Leaders of Nations, must be earned with more than a show of strength and power. It must be earned with solid consistent respected actions, and not with just words. The USA has had not such a leader now for many decades, arguably Eisenhower was the last such POTUS. Either way, Trump, if elected, has a lot to change. Realistically, I don’t think he will do it. If he does try to do everything he says he will, I am quite sure he will be assassinated by his own administration, although they will find some sorry chump to take the blame.

No, the USA, has bigger problems than just having the right POTUS. Their entire economic, political, social system is a wreck. When Social Entropy reaches a certain point in every Imperial system it will wreck havoc with it, and nothing will stop it. This is the beginning of the end of the USA. It will take decades even another century or more for its complete destruction, but it is coming.

Remember government is just a microcosm of regular society. The reason why when government doesn’t work any more, like the US Congress, is because those who are elected, are being chosen from a larger “cesspool” of corrupt members of society. The problem you have in the USA, is that the justice system doesn’t work any more, society’s expectations and social and work ethic is corrupted, and the entire financial/corporate system is corrupt. No President can fix those things.

The USA is finished. The real dilemma is, when a country with still so much power and led with an ever increasing coterie if goofuses and crooks like the US has, only ends up becoming despotic and eventually warmongering; doesn’t that sound familiar.

Obama is just the last of a long line of failed US Presidents, and yes I include Reagan in that too (for he started this stupidity of debt growth). If Trump survives, he may do some good, but I doubt it. If Hillary wins, then get ready for another world war, or at least another world wide depression, and then another world war with the president that follows her (could it get worse than Hillary? Think her daughter!)

In short, the USA is finished, and that means the West (read Europe/Canada/Australa/Japan etc), is finished too. The future is Asian, and maybe also Islamic. It’s a numbers game, and the only demographics that can out do the USA as far as numbers are concerned is Asia (with China and India), and the Islamic world. Forget about Christianity, it has been self-corrupting itself toward self-destruction for centuries.

We in the West that are alive today, are just here to witness the downfall, and suffer its consequences. And we owe it all to ourselves. When you elect goofuses like Obama, empower unelected leaders like the European Parliament, teach stupid theories like AGW in schools, allow white collar criminals like Professors in Universities to get away with fraud, continually spend more than you earn like governments do, there is only one possible outcome.

If your young, that under 15 years of age, I recommend learning Chinese or Arabic.

The raising of the debt ceiling is a function of Congress and not the President. During all 8 years of Reagan’s Presidency, Democrats controlled the House of Representatives. All bills pertaining to money must begin in the House. The President proposes a budget to Congress and the Democrat-controlled House declared each of Reagan’s budgets DOA. Blaming Reagan for the debt ceiling is a bit misleading.

Not all of us are the sheep you envision. Anger and frustration have been building in this country for some time with the social decay and the increasingly looney actions of the left. After 2 elections giving Republicans control of the House and then the Senate, we saw that nothing happened which had been promised during the campaigns. Soon we realized that the Republicans had become the Democrats. People are ready to hit the restart button on so many things. Education has become a propaganda tool for the left–almost all of our institutions of higher learning resemble left’s dreams (for comparison, think your University of East Anglia). The churches are rising up against the nonsense coming from government–it is high time. The EPA has so overstepped its bounds under Obama, that West Virginia in 1214 elected a Republican legislature for the first time in 83 years.

More than a year ago, I told people that I wanted someone who would “take a wrecking ball through the establishment–both sides.” His name is Donald Trump. He understands what has happened, how business and the world works, and who has been doing what. He has no patience for incompetence. He is about common sense (a lost thought process in bureaucracy and academia) and results. He has proved in his business life that he can get it done. All bureaucracy quakes at the thought of him for they know they are about to be “fired.” His recent trip to Mexico gave a glimpse of a “Presidential” man in action. No narcissistic Obama on Trump-Force I.

Although you declared the United States of America dead, to paraphrase Mark Twain, “The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.” King George III has similar fond thoughts about a colony called America.

And I might add that even though I do not like Obama’s policies or philosophies in any way, this Chinese snub is one I feel personally, and I’m betting a lot of other U.S. citizens feel the same way. We won’t forget how disgracefully the Chinese leadership treated us and our leader.

Obama had always been a globalist at heart. It looks like the last two years of his US presidency has been to set himself up in a global government. He seems more interested in the next role he’ll play and getting ready to make America subservient to those ambitions.

Well, Obama sent the Dahli Lama out of the White House back door past all of the garbage cans in 2010, insulted the British by returning the bust of Churchill that was in the White House soon after he was elected in 2008, and insulted Natanyahu more times than anyone can count over the last 8 years. Glad somebody finally returned the favor to this incompetent boob.
