From Guido:

Mark Lutes, pictured above taking a selfie of himself flying in business class luxury, is the Global Climate Policy Advisor for the World Wildlife Funds’s Global Climate and Energy Initiative. As such he is set to be their lead representative at the upcoming COP22 conference in Marrakesh.

The WWF has been campaigning to stop people flying, arguing that video conferencing should replace the need to travel. WWF criticises governments for the amount of flying they do. Lutes has also been a vocal critic of Heathrow expansion. Yet analysis of his social media shows Lutes living it up with his own jet set lifestyle. He has recently made overseas trips to Canada, South Korea, Morocco, Zambia, South Africa, Italy, South Korea and France (twice). We calculate that he has flown some 121,000 miles – almost five times around the world – no Skype videolinks for him…

His Facebook is full of pictures of him attending worthy gatherings of environmental activists around the globe as well as enjoying luxury holidays. Totally green hypocrisy…

He’s one of the 10,000 hypocrites who’ll fly in for doomed climate talks:

“More than 10,000 people are flying to Marrakesh for a UN climate change conference despite officials admitting that they will make little or no progress on key issues.”

    Why should we be surprised?

Hypocrisy, egomania and an over-developed sense of entitlement are hard-wired into enviro-activists. I would have added “schizoid tendencies” but I have no wish to downplay the problems of those who genuinely have such afflictions and for whom life is a struggle to come to terms with them!

In Lutes’ case it would appear that narcissism is also a factor.

And the key issue of what to do about all this warming… the NET… Negative Emission Technology is side-stepped? Where will the next jet-set meeting take place? Mars?

The 23rd session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 23) to the UN Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will will meet in Asia at a location to be determined.
      dates: 6-17 November 2017

I think the current COP22 has as its main goal to determine the location of the 23rd Party.

ME: “What are you going to discuss at COP22, Mr Lutes?”
Lutes: “Mainly where the party is going to take place next year”
ME: “What about fixing climate change?”
Lutes: “Are you mad? If we fixed it we’d have no excuse for partying!”

It will have to be somewhere cheap with Donald cutting the funding once he is at the controls.

      • November 11, 2016 3:46 pm

Perhaps the Donald could step in and offer them Detroit. On a good day temps stay above freezing in November, and the city needs the money.

    Parasitic tosser.
Hopefully Trump will put an end to this particular lifestyle.

I think I would end up smashing something if I went there. Better to keep their visitor numbers as low as possible.

People will be green with envy at his gilded but unproductive lifestyle.

If trump announces scaling down of Eco-jamborees
…then shares in airline, hotels and conference venues might take a tumble.

I have just looked at his Facebook page. He has two posts from 2013, one from 2012 and one from 2010. A case of “shutting the door after the horse has bolted”?

Such a productive life he leads, you can tell, observe his optimistic countenance, maybe by some most fortunate happenstance, one day he could be the hor’s d’oeuvre for a snow leopard – doing his WWF bit an’ all.

He’ not a hypocrite as such, just a self-important fool.

It’s not flying per se that is wrong, just flying for the wrong sort of people for the wrong sort of reason. His flying is fine because it’s saving the Earth. Your flying is wrong because it’s just a stag weekend in Prague.

It’s like wealth for the rich lefties (see say J K Rowling)- my wealth is fine because it’s purely a result of my brilliance. Your wealth is wrong because it has come only from exploitation of others.

I just think it is so funny that the US election was during COP22. The US lot might just as well stay on the beach as their mandate no longer exists.

I wonder how these parasites explain that in the country right next to them in North Africa is having problems with snow —

Roads blocked by snow in parts of Algeria

8 Nov 2016 (Excerpts) – “It is cold, rain and snow have fallen in abundance on several regions of the country. These incidents caused several fatal accidents on the roads …. at least 8 people were killed and 48 others injured in road accidents in several parts of the country.

“Road traffic in the capital has been severely disrupted by inclement weather and interminable traffic jams have formed around the main roads in Algiers.

“In the west of the country, the army had to intervene to reopen roads, blocked by snow, especially in Sidi Bel Abbes.”

    http://www.tsa-algerie.com/20161108/intemperies-accidents-ortels-inondations-routes-coupees-neige/

Thanks to Patrick at https://iceagenow.info/roads-blocked-snow-parts-algeria/ for this link.

Or that February 2015 Morocco, and January 2013 Saudi Arabia had snow. Snow is getting to be more common in North Africa, that does not indicate global warming it is a clear and definite sign of global cooling! No illogical, antiscience, sophistry can prove otherwise.
