Understanding Sea Level Rise With Leo DiCaprio

November 15, 2016

By Paul Homewood

Leonardo DiCaprio is worried that we are all going to drown soon.

Which no doubt explains explains why he is spending millions building an ultra-luxury resort for his rich buddies on a Caribbean island most of which is less than a foot above sea level.

New artist renderings for Leonardo DiCaprio's resort on a small island off the coast of Belize - slated for opening in 2018 - have been released

Blackadore Caye

The resort won’t be for any old hoi polloi! Caprio partner is Jeff Gram, the owner of Cayo Espanto Island Resort, a luxury vacation spot on another private island in Belize, where prices in April for two guests ranged from about $1,695 to $2,295 a night, according to its website. Mr. Gram said he would bring his experience in owning and operating island resorts to the new venture. “As for Blackadore,” he said, “I believe that it will be an incredible private island that will set the mark for all future island developments.”

Perhaps Leo has mastered what King Canute could not manage to do.

I’m so old I remember when despoiling a pristine island was something environmentalists would be against.

You think de Caprio is an environmentalist? Think again. ‘Opportunist’ is the word you are searching for, I think.

It would be nice to get him into a TV studio for a 30-minute session with Andrew Neil. I’d pay money to watch that. First question:.How big is your own carbon footprint, Mr de Caprio?

Come the flood, Lenny the Goat will be safe. as he’s got his place booked on a luxury yacht.

Rolling back the tide, is that all? Listen mate, King bliar did do it, just that, it was dark – that’s all.

On other things, mind you, a turbulent gust, a cat 5 and yo! t’would be like a resort gone with the wind and frankly Leo, who would care a damn?

You could have inserted a picture from Titanic with him up to his neck.

    Whoops Paul.

My understanding was that Canute’s stunt was to prove to his court that not even a King as powerful as him could hold the tide back.

Lets see if he can qualify as a climate refugee, when the sea rises.

I recall Al the goracle predicting SL rises in NYC in a quite preposterous prognostication and in terms of meters!

But someone noticed that the Goracle was investing in Beach front property in Miami or nigh area………………

Double dealing, specious cant, total idiots and the tosserati, THEY’RE made for each other.

He’s either monumentally ignorant (yes he is) or a monumental liar – he said the US is the world’s biggest emitter of GHGs. Then he travels to China and praises the govt. for its efforts to cut GHG emissions. China, where they’re expanding coal-fired electricity at such a rate their coal-mines can’t supply the demand, and they, the world’s biggest coal producer are importing coal.

This man with a carbon footprint bigger than a small country, thinks covering a pristine, untouched island with hotels and “eco-dwellings” will “improve the environment”. Yeah – his financial environment. He’s filmed watching huge icebergs break off an enormous pale blue glacier in Greenland, intact, and crash into the sea, intact, and witters on about “melting glaciers”. Melting glaciers make no sound, Leonardo, maybe just a drip, drip, which is what you are Leonardo- a big drip.

Tie him to a post at low tide and let him wait until high tide. A complete waste of time but it might cause him to think about tidal ranges and the slow changes. Assuming that he can think.

I really worry about climate change. Faculty pepole could not see ut. But it is!!!! And we have to do something for it. If a person who change his lifestyle and as possible as he can less use of fussel fluid then it’s really effect.. After all if all people think like less use of fussel fluid then it’ll work. And otherside there are other sources to generate power like hydro, wind, tidal and solar. So think about it and our future generations.

It struck me that Hollywood used to be heavily unionised from post war and perhaps before during the 1930,. Maybe the actors are being managed by their unions now. After all they are paid to mimic sincerity. Who are the union bosses?
