Donald Trump expected to slash Nasa’s climate change budget in favour of sending humans back to the moon – and beyond

November 21, 2016

By Paul Homewood

Time to drain the swamp and sack the crooks!

From the Telegraph:

US President-elect Donald Trump is set to slash Nasa’s budget for monitoring climate change and instead set a goal of sending humans to the edge of the solar system by the end of the century, and possibly back to the moon.

Mr Trump, who has called climate change a "Chinese hoax", is believed to want to focus the agency on far-reaching, big banner goals in deep space rather than "Earth-centric climate change spending".

According to Bob Walker, who has advised Mr Trump on space policy, Nasa has been reduced to "a logistics agency concentrating on space station resupply and politically correct environmental monitoring".

Mr Walker, a former congressman who chaired President George W. Bush’s Commission on the Future of the US Aerospace Industry, told The Telegraph: "We would start by having a stretch goal of exploring the entire solar system by the end of the century.

"You stretch your technology experts and create technologies that wouldn’t otherwise be needed. I think aspirational goals are a good thing. Fifty years ago it was the ability to go to the moon."

Nasa’s climate change role in the firing line

This year Nasa’s Earth Science Division received $1.92 billion in funding, up nearly 30 per cent from the previous year.

Its funding has gone up 50 per cent under President Barack Obama. At the same time Mr Obama proposed cutting support for deep space exploration by $840 million next year.

Bye bye, Gavin.

Perhaps they could send Gavin to the moon – and beyond plus Mr Mann, oh & De-Caprio likes flying, so send him as well (one way tickets only)

But then, really! Gavin is Universally renowned and in his own orbit an expert on moonbeam gathering technology and besides Messerschmitdoid he – needs a new interest and deep space, well……..? it’s such a perfect fit.

Maybe, just maybe we’re set to witness the single greatest collective public humiliation in history. Never have so many been so taken in (up to and including the highest peaks of international authority and governments) as those duped by the great climate change con.

Remove Schmidt, remove Mann, remove all activists from NASA/GISS and NOAA and re-visit every damn line of fake data those clowns have offered. Can someone knock on Dr Hansen’s door while they’re at it? Then allow them to take their chances before a court. Good luck Gavin, Mickey and Jimmy, because you boys will need it.

None of the world leaders have been “duped” by climate change. They have all seen it as a means to an end, and that end is world government with them selected to run it. These are political entities that only think of how important they are and how nice it would be to be “king of the world.” If you think “climate change” had a life of its own, you are wrong. It has always been just a tool to create rule by elite while the rest of us eat dirt. There are leaders, of course, that still believe in national sovereignty, and they were never “duped” by AGW, either.

Well. there was acid rain and the hole in the ozone, there was the whole Club of Rome and limits to growth stuff, there was communism/socialism, Keynesianism and many more.

It’s actually what I find so odd about the whole climate change thing – that people can still accept these scares/ideas without serious scepticism, despite all the failed claims of the past.

Attempting great feats requires “mother” ,indeed Mrs Necessity and she is the MOTHER of all inventions – man! Yup, in peaceful times [er wot?] is it not better to point the mad scientists in the direction of some great fantasy ‘wot if but nevertheless a tangible target’……rather then have em browbeating ‘we the people’ about globull warbling?

Let’s hope that Trump carries out all his sensible campaign promises and thus kills off the climate change scam and gets rid of all the useless renewables.

More on transition planning re NASA. And yes, it looks like the focus is shifting from earth to space.

You have to laugh at Schmidt’s threat to resign if Donald changes the purpose of NASA. The pomposity of the man. Saving Donald the trouble of firing him. Perhaps NASA might like to kickstart some serious research of the sun. Replace the probe that blew up on launch a couple of years back. So much to learn.

Never threaten to quit unless you are prepared to do it. Bluffing will never work against Trump.

While AGW is not a “Chinese” hoax, at least Trump, and hopefully the rest of his Administration, recognizes that it is a politically motivated hoax with very serious economic implications if it is not stopped in its tracks. Time for Holdren, Mann, and Gore to be relegated to irrelevance. They won’t go quietly and will double up their efforts for sure. It would be great if Trump convened an ongoing panel of real scientists to provide the AGW opponents a megaphone to help unravel the AGW mis-information campaign that has been going on for decades. One can only hope!

What? No more Muslim outreach for NASA? Shameful that they might actually get back to doing what they were created to do.

It is not just NASA, the Pentagon is also forced to do stupid things wasting $Billions, they would Never do if left up to them…all in the stupid name of climate.

Herr Schmidt has recently proclaimed: “we won’t ever see a month below 400 ppm.” And his predecessor has described Paris mitigation climate control as “wishful thinking” Excellent reason to stop “digging a deeper hole” in the budget.

And why stop with climate change funding? What about re-directing NASA’s Mars rover program to efficient infrastructure planning? After all… we haven’t found any evidence at all of either life on Mars now or billions of years ago. No evidence of liquid water. Why bother to keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result? Change the name of JPL to IPL and take advantage of the scientific expertise out there for something useful and necessary.

I don’t see how one can say “Bye bye, Gavin” based his budget being cut. His government pay check won’t be effected. Besides I want to see him and those with him before Congress explaining in detail as to how they go rid of the 1940’s blip after Wigley wrote “It would be good to remove at least part of the 1940s blip” and then how they warmed the subsequent cooling in the 70’s. They got some explaining to do about that and their other adjustments and how they can claim the world is getting warmer when the surface stations they use for their “data” are constantly changing and only have reasonable coverage of about 1/2 of the earths surface.

RAH… Here’s what Wigley wrote to Phil Jones about “correcting” SSTs…

At 06:25 28/09/2009, Tom Wigley wrote:

Here are some speculations on correcting SSTs to partly explain the 1940s warming blip. If you look at the attached plot you will see that the land also shows the 1940s blip (as I’m sure you know). So, if we could reduce the ocean blip by, say, 0.15 degC, then this would be significant for the global mean — but we’d still have to explain the land blip.”

The “blip” in the late 1930s was a positive northern hemisphere anomaly of 0.6°C. Look at Figure A.6 from the 1975 NAS report “Understanding Climatic Change”: A program for action.

NASA’s top climate scientist urged President-elect Donald Trump to keep paying for global warming programs, but threatened to resign if Trump censored his science.
Dr. Gavin Schmidt (@ClimateOfGavin), the director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, told the Independent he and other government scientists are “not going to stand” for any funding cuts or other interference in their work.
“The point is simple: the climate is changing and you can try to deny it, you can appoint people who don’t care about it into positions of power, but regardless nature has the last vote on this,” Schmidt, told The Independent Thursday. “It’s something we’re going to have to deal with sooner or later, and it’s better sooner rather than later. We don’t have a choice if we’re going to deal with it.”
Trump has called global warming a “hoax,” “mythical,” a “con job,” “nonexistent,” and “bullshit.” Trump views policies created to fight global warming as hurting U.S. manufacturing competitiveness with China.
When The Independent asked Schmidt what he would do if Trump told him global warming was a hoax, Schmidt replied: “With respect, that’s not actually true.”
Schmidt went on to say he’d consider resigning if Trump didn’t embrace his vision of NASA as an environmental research institution or threatened to censor him.
Trump’s space policy focuses on eliminating bureaucratic waste and cutting back on environmental science research so the agency can pursue more ambitious goals, like sending humans to Mars.

    “ClimateOfGavin” says it all really.

Gavin seems pretty confused about who is going to be boss come January 20th, 2017. I’m sure shortly after that date he will have no doubts. The jig is up!

The people in the “Right Stuff” part of NASA, namely JPL, are also aghast. Crewed space probes achieve little science-wise at ten times the cost of unmanned missions.

    barack HUSSEIN Obama

    Barack: muslim name
Hussein: no need to say it is a muslim name
Obama: not an African name at all, no, real muslim name again (Osama, Obama)..

For 8 years, the USA had a muslim brotherhood controlled president :
    – Libya: destroy a stable regime to make it a terrorist haven (and a hell for anyone else)
    – Syria: same = total failure thanks to Russia
    – Egypt: put in power the muslim brotherhood- It lasted one year. Thnaks god they have been expelled.
    – All other so called “Arab springs” : CIA/Obama led coups —> Total failures that became islamists winters.
    – Ukraine: Another coup to switch people attention to Russia as the “enemy” while the real enemy was within.
    – The fake “refugees” “crisis”: how to accelerate the islamisation of Europe with the help of the EU totalitarian regime and the UN.

Muslim outreach: another word for putting islamists inside every key positions in the US system and administrations.

The muslim president is going but he’s still sabotaging the next presidency as we have seen in his last meeting with his puppets in Europe (Merkel, Hollande, May)…

It’s not Clinton that should be indicted, it’s this traitor…
