Harrabin Confuses Weather With Climate

June 17, 2017

By Paul Homewood

Mr Harrabin confuses weather with climate!!

And, as the GWPF inconveniently pointed out, it was only four years ago that the UK had one of the coldest springs on record:

Clive Best also reminds us that this spring only managed to beat out 1893 by 0.1C. Somehow, I think I will just about be able to tolerate that!

    “warmest spring since 1659”
Um, Roger, what was causing “carbon emissions” and “climate change” then and why has it taken over 350 years of exponentially growing human activity to beat that record?

Exactly. If this kind of feeble cherry-picking is worth a headline, there can’t be much of substance to the warmist argument.

Weather events normal and within ‘average’ bands: maintain radio silence.
Weather events above or below ‘average’ bands: scream from the rooftops that it’s climate change.
    Rinse, repeat.

We also had a couple of extremely cold nights this spring that did a lot of damage to grape vines and many other types of plant. Was that just weather or a sign of climate change and a warming world? The cardinal will know.

He always has confused weather and climate, that’s what he is paid to do (which like all things climate related is a waste of money).

Surely a warmer spring *is* ‘climate change’. It’s like saying rainfall is caused by water falling from the sky. But I suppose ‘climate change’ now means ‘bogeyman’ and nothing else.
    (Note: bogeywomen are available)

Its not Roger that I criticize. We all watch or listen to Harrabins naked propaganda.

    BBC obviously condone this.

It high time that licence fees were abolished and action taken to stop the lies.

Roger may be dull and ill informed but I suspect that he appeals to the ‘sheep’ and the ‘hard of reasoning’..

The man is a disgrace to BBC (as is the BBC itself.

In the contiguous US the 2012 temperatures were the warmest in many states. Since then only the state of Florida has had a record warm Spring… in 2015.

And the spring of 1893 was more extreme than the present year, with a spell of 60 days with NO rain in southern England and temperatures in excess of 25c for a week in mid April, with 29c at Cambridge in the same month!

Would a better title have been BBC ABANDONS GLOBAL WARMING! ?
(Temperature has climbed only 0.1℃ in 124 years.)

(Compared with the depths of the Little Ice Age.)
