Pre-Determined ‘Science’: The Chair of the federal climate board disbanded by Trump was a World Wildlife Fund activist

You may have read that Trump has just disbanded the federal advisory committee on climate change, tasked with reviewing the National Climate Assessment recently leaked by the NYT.

Now you would be entitled to think that the committee was a bunch of totally impartial scientists. But you would be wrong, as Climate Depot reports:

Who is Dr Richard H Moss, Ex-Chair of the Advisory Committee for the Sustained National Climate Assessment

Guest Post By Dennis Ambler:

With the kerfuffle over the disbanding of the Advisory Committee for the Sustained National Climate Assessment, set up by President Obama in 2015, we have the usual appeals to false authority and the usual claims of “denying science”. However, a closer look reveals there is not much science here: http://sncaadvisorycommittee.noaa.gov/Membership

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2017/08/trump-administration-disbands-climate-change-advisory-panel.html

“The committee’s chair, Dr. Richard H. Moss, a senior scientist at the Joint Global Change Research Institute, told the Post that disbanding the group was “short-sighted.”

“We’re going to be running huge risks here and possibly end up hurting the next generation’s economic prospects,” he warned.“

Richard Moss is a WWF implant and has been in the climate debate for many years. More here:

Moss is or was Vice President and Managing Director for Climate Change at the World Wildlife Fund. He is a former Senior Director for Climate Change and Energy, United Nations Foundation. The UNF was founded in 1998 with $1billion from Ted Turner, its President is Timothy Wirth, who helped to launch James Hansen into global warming fame in 1988.

Moss has been a member of the IPCC since 1993. He was a Review editor for IPCC AR5 WGII Ch. 14, “Adaptation needs and options”. From 2000 to 2006, he served as director of the coordination office for the United States Climate Change Science Program.

His doctorate is in Public and International Affairs.”

His WWF appointment is now described as a “Business Leave of Absence”: https://www.ametsoc.org/boardpges/cwce/docs/profiles/MossRichardH/profile.html

“He led preparation of the US government’s 10-year climate change research plan (2003) for which he was awarded the United States Department of Energy‘s Distinguished Associate award.

He was named a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 2006 and a fellow of the Aldo Leopold Leadership Program in 2001.

He has MPA and PhD degrees from Princeton University in public and international affairs and a BA degree from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota“

Scientist?

Donna LaFramboise queried his role in IPCC in 2011:

It’s not hard to believe there’s a lot of this sort of malarkey going on.

      Agreed!

      Clear the swamp!
Chop them all out of the lucrative Federal funding.

Not surprising. The “narrative” is heavily biased and the people know it.

      “…and the people know it…”

Perhaps half of the people, in the Western world, (vaguely) know it.

I say half because of a recent, interesting, poll result in the USA. Among likely American voters, 63% of Republicans, and 50% of all voters, agree that “the media” will never give Trump praise for ANYTHING, because of their instututional bias.

This is no surprise. The swamp is very deep and very wide and contains some very nasty swamp dwellers.

Promoting, advocacy – toeing the party line, research funding………….It you’re house, immediate family, life and lifestyle depends on it, what are you going to say – except “more please sir!”

Starve it of funding, hence the global warming syndicate advancing the failed hypothesis of man made warming – disappears into the sunset.

What about the rest of the committee, what are their credentials and are they also as obviously unbiased as their Chairman?

No, of course not but you could have gone further and pointed out that Obama is a damned deceptive ratbag. He glommed onto John Cooks 97% nonsense so quickly you might think he had commissioned it with taxpayer dollars.

That swamp is full of these rotten creatures who think they are acting for our own good and so lie and deceive without conscience. C.S. Lewis knew of this behavior and had this to say . . .

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber barons cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”

Or in Keitho speak,” they think their shit don’t stink”.

        Man they are rotters.

A “scientist”? A SENIOR scientist? Are you serious? He is as much a scientist as Al Gore. It goes to show that AAAS (or the American Association for the Assassination of Science as my late father–PhD chemistry, MIT–used to call them) has indeed lost their way and should have no serious attention paid them. My 4-month-old kitten, Hudson, has more observable scientific acumen than this twerp.

Seems to me as though his educational background was more suited to a stint in the State Department. But then, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson would have dismissed him by now with a lot of other detritus he has been brooming out of Foggy Bottom.

Brilliant President Trump! -It’s high time someone shot some holes in the global warming imbecility! However, some HUGE fortunes HAVE been made from the millions of gullible idiots, -many in governments, world-wide!
