Meet Sony Kapoor, Who Has No Intellect At All And *Advises*!

But even funnier is the back story.

Sony Kapoor, who posted this on his twitter feed, along with the gratuitous insult about Brexit, seems to be one of those people who thinks he knows better than the rest of us.

This is his Linkedin profile:

Sony Kapoor is a prominent economist, financial sector expert and development practitioner whose career spans investment banking, civil society, academia & policymaking across several countries. As MD of the Re-Define Think Tank and CEO of Court Jesters Consulting, Mr Kapoor advises several EU and emerging economy governments, central banks, regulators and investors on economic & financial policy and investment strategy.
Sony was Chairman of the Banking Stakeholder Board, European Banking Authority and an expert adviser to the European Commission, the European Parliament and the IMF focusing mainly on crisis management, economic governance, fiscal policy and financial sector reform. He has held a multidisciplinary role at the LSE with the Systemic Risk Centre and the Development, Government & European departments. He was also Special Adviser to the UN on green finance and Strategy Adviser to Norway’s government.
Mr Kapoor has a long track record of identifying the most pressing public policy challenges and successfully tackling them. The impact of his work on financial reform, Eurocrisis and development has led to him being honoured as a Fellow by the Royal Society of Arts, a Young European Leader by Friends of Europe and a Young Global Leader by WEF. George Soros has aptly called him a successful “Policy Entrepreneur”.
Sony has had an eclectic career in finance, politics and civil society. He worked for ICICI, India’s largest investment bank, did leveraged finance for Lehman Brothers in London and traded derivatives for Aquila Energy, also partnering with the World Bank to provide risk management to vulnerable economies. He co-founded NGOs such as the Tax Justice Network & Finance Watch and the inter-governmental Illicit Finance Task Force & International Tax Compact.
An alumnus of the LSE and the Indian Institute of Technology, Mr Kapoor is a popular keynote speaker & respected commentator. He is also finishing a book on large scale misallocation of capital.

Unfortunately though he seems to be lacking in commonsense, as the letter that he thought was real turns out to be a spoof from Viz magazine.

Dozens of his followers on twitter have rather embarrassingly pointed this out to him.

It was not even a recent item, as it originally appeared in October 2016.

Even Brian Cox, who is often on the receiving end of Viz jokes, had to respond at the time:

As Adrian Newth cruelly sums it up:

“Cocks who crow today do not always live until tomorrow.”

That is either a folk saying or I just made it up.

Sony Kapoor, from his self [composed?] congratulatory paean and resumé:

    CEO of Court Jesters Consulting

harken! all braggadocio with such a clever dicky but never mind lack of all common sense.

yuk, yuk, yuk how easy it is for an arrogant fool to be fooled.

Well, well, well, knock me down with feather.

And yes Sony Kapoor in your bubble world everybody thinks you’re such a genius, but let me tell you lad it’s just an echo chamber for jejune Narcissists and no wonder you fit in so well sonny………………….

AND note: I also voted for #Brexit! I voted for small is so much better, i vote for reason, logic, sovereignty is freedom, because, despite your lofty tones and piles of ejukashunal quals, I loathe your world Sony Kapoor with a vehemence and a venom you’ll never be able to suck out nor fathom.

” He is also finishing a book on large scale misallocation of capital.”

If he has been working among the high ups in the EU he will have plenty of material for his book.

Mr. Kapoor has two obvious problems: 1. He went to Harvard and then piled it on with 2. The Kennedy School of Government. That program is known to be leftist in a university which now prides itself in being left-wing. Harvard lost its way decades ago. I would submit that they are no longer a remarkable institution, but are still benefiting from their past “aura.”

Today, Harvard is little more than a “High School Clique” practicing to be “The Ruling Class,” One of the most practiced traits is the ability to look down their noses are the rest of the unwashed masses.

And on our side of the pond we see LSE appear in his resume.

Hmm. Since I can’t really think of a pressing public policy challenge that has been successfully tackled for decades, perhaps he could tell us what problem exactly he has solved?

A story worth looking at again?

That one missed me , but Ward often complains to IPSO and fails
So you could keep a count of % he is succcessful

The law cannot prove anything to be true, only that one side made a better case than the other and usually used better experts and barristers. The law does demonstrate well that “experts” can be found to support almost any conjecture as there is little requirement to prove expertise: very similar to many “climate-science” proofs and claims.

“Expert witnesses” seemed like a good idea, but it has meant that Courts sometimes presume to judge of things they should leave alone.

    Woe, woe and thrice woe!

‘Year 2017 set to be the stormiest on record, forecasts predict ‘

“The year 2017 is set to be the stormiest year on record as forecasters are warning of flooding and travel disruption this autumn. ….”

    The “forecasters”? The usual suspects:-

“AccuWeather the world’s second biggest commercial forecaster….”
“The Met Office, which names UK storms……”
“The Weather Company – Extreme gusts over 90mph were forecast by…..”

Got to be right, ain’t it?

If it can’t be “since time began………the warmest evah”!

      Er quick switch to……………..

“since records began and time immemorial……..stormiest year evah!!!!!”

Well he does work for a ‘think tank’ where, especially in London and on Brexit, very little in the way of thought goes on.

“And yes he voted for Brexit”
So that is something Sony made up, cos Brexit not referenced in the spoof tweet.

    So Sony’s tweet actually says
    ‘See here’s something stupid
… therefore it must have been said by a Brexit supporter”

His entire purpose to his followers “Look Brexit voters are stupid”

The fact that the stupid thing is a spoof, doesn’t matter really to Sony
..He’s once again said that Brexit supporters are stupid
..and thru the drip, drip, drip effect his supporters are brainwashed to believe
..and they’ll clap like seals ..and thus reinforce that message in their heads.

The people who recognise that it was a spoof tweet just drift away, but that doesn’t matter he’s cultivating his gullible brainwashed followers.

Of course the standard rule applies
THat when a Libmob guy throws an accusation , it’s projection.
So we know SK voted Remain
..and now we know SK is gullible

Sony from his resume, is everything I have come to detest over my three score years and sixteen. In G&S terms, he is the very model of a very modern wanker. Geoff.
