How does one enter an amount?
Once paypal has launched, just start typing numbers!
I am not using PayPal. There’s a section for using a credit card and there’s where I’m lost. I apologize for not being more specific.
I’ve sent a couple of beers worth. Keep up the good work!
Done. A small price to pay for practically the only proper journalism being done on this critical topic: the green madness which is costing us all £ thousands and imperilling the energy supply our very lives depend on. Please keep up the great work.
I would be happy to donate but sorry, not when creating a PayPal account is mandatory
I guess that explains my question above. No PayPal, no can donate……
I can’t remember why I made a paypal account, and I was almost certainly sceptical about it when I did.
However, I have come to value it highly. I don’t let it take money from my bank account – I top up the balance when needed. If someone hacks my password, they can only nick the (small) balance. If you wish to buy something from an obscure website, use paypal so that i) you don’t have to enter your card details into a database that may not be entirely secure and ii) the vendor is supplied automatically with your address.
I am still sceptical about waving my phone at the checkout and paying with that, but that’s another story.
I have a credit card with a very low limit (well under a $1000) that I use for online transactions. It works just as well as PayPal, though many merchants don’t take a credit card. Sometimes I can’t donate to or buy from them, but that’s their choice and my choice.
My credit union, who issued the card, is very good about calling if purchases seem unusual and will shut down the card if they can’t reach me to prevent fraud.
Since I have no smart phone….
I have a Pay Pal account.
Once I it hit the donate button, I can find no way to change the donate value. It remains stuck at £0.00.
Must be climate change.
Not got your number lock switched off!!!
I blame the wife. Happy Xmas!
Paul: I also got blocked by the Paypal site – something to do with the telephone number
Np problem for me.
Trying to do this by Visa Debit but Paypal boxes seem to prevent this. Have no paypal account.
Sorry, am having difficulty donating – I live in Australia, but want to use my English visa card (I used to be able to use either English or Australian accounts on paypal, but now it only lets me use Australian) but it just keeps rejecting me when it sees a discrepancy between my English card and Australian billing address (which is what Barclays has as my billing address). I hope you can make it easier for me to donate, as I really appreciate what you do.
Like Barbara above I tried to use Visa Debit to no avail. You need to get this sorted Paul, we all want to show our appreciation for your wonderful work.
I’ve just paid me something from my Visa Debit, and it works fine
I just used my VISA debit card and it worked fine. One thing that is confusing is how to enter the amount. It doesn’t get highlighted or anything. You just type the amount and the 00.00 is overwritten. This is not what many of us are used to.
Sorry Paul but I’ve just tried Visa and MasterCard and it just stops at “agree and donate”. Can’t do more.
Thanks anyway, Vernon.
