Daily Mirror Scum Balls Blame Cyclone Fani On Climate Change

May 14, 2019

Can the scum bags at the Daily Mirror get any lower?

For grieving mother Fatama Begum, the climate emergency that British MPs declared in the House of Commons last week is not a distant concept.

Climate change for her is terrifyingly real, a malevolent force that unleashed unprecedented storms which took her eight-year-old son Maruf Hossein’s life.

While politicians in Westminster debate the urgency of cutting carbon emissions, families in southern Bangladesh are experiencing floods, rising seas and cyclones that get worse every year.

I meet Fatama in a village near the coastal city of Kuakata, an area beset by natural disasters.

The city was lucky to escape the worst of the destruction as Cyclone Fani killed 17 people in Bangladesh last week.

Still traumatised by the drowning of her third child, Fatama, 33, cowers timidly in the semi-darkness of her family’s wooden-stilt home.

She whispers: “The flooding last year was the worst it has ever been. The water was so high that we were wading up to our knees through the house.

“We decided we would go to a neighbour’s house on higher ground for shelter.

“Maruf was stood on a bank, and even there the water was nearly up to his waist. When I turned back around, he wasn’t there. He must have slipped because the water was so fast-flowing.

“My husband and I were looking for him for half an hour, and then we saw his body floating in a corner. Even now, it is difficult to talk about Maruf’s death.

“I am only carrying on for my three other children.”

In 1970, when the world was cooling, three quarters of a million died when a cyclone hit Bangladesh, submerging a large fraction of the country:

HH Lamb – Climate, History and the Modern World

Such death tolls from floods were common prior to the present era.

In the 1970s too, more than a million died because of monsoon failures in India and Bangladesh:

HH Lamb – Climate, History and the Modern World

Death tolls like that are unimaginable now. Only the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami comes close in recent years.

What on earth does the Mirror rag think it’s going to achieve with climate porn like this?

The end is nigh, for protection I will be wearing a paper hat of all the climate alarm articles published since 1970 It is several meters thick and bomb proof.

We have ignorant journalists and politicians due to climate change … [/sarc]

    Nothing surprises me any more.
As far as large parts of the MSM is concerned, all weather events are caused by “climate change”.
I don’t know if they really believe it or not, but it makes for good headlines.
    Collective insanity.
And of course, all weather will stop as soon as we reduce the amount of CO2 we put into the atmosphere. /sarc

Paul, I can remember a few years ago that there was a study by the University of Dhaka that confirmed that the land area of Bangladesh was INCREASING. And also explained that in a delta and inter-tidal zone islands came and went as the dominant channels of the river delta changed. You might want also to look at an article in The Straits Times on 15 November 2017 – that I think reports on this research. This is a Singapore newspaper but has the headline ‘New Islands Spell Hope for Bangladesh’. Amongst other things it notes that “Dozens of new islands have emerged from the waters around Bangladesh over the past decade” and “The [Bangladesh] Government said on Monday that 29 island with a combined area of 507 have emerged from the Bay of Bengal since 2007” For comparison the report said that the Island of Singapore is 720 The link to the article is below.

There is also a report from the BBC in 2008 that Satellite images had confirmed that the land area of Bangladesh had grown by 20 a year over the last 32 years..

“Rising sea levels…..” I saw one report probably BBC0) claiming to be showing flooding due to rising sea levels to the height of a two storey house. Being familiar with the Bay of Bengal, especially Calcutta, I thought of the millions who would be dead in that city if th BoB rose more than a couple of feet. The actual measured rises, of course, are a few cms per decade the same as everywhere else. Fact is that Bangladesh is one huge delta where land rises and settles continuously and has nothing whatsoever to do with climate change. Fake news.

When I was at school geography taught Bangladesh was synonymous with constant cyclones and floods, nothing new.

    Even Wiki doesn’t hide it!

“Bangladesh is prone to flooding due to being situated on the Ganges Delta and the many distributaries flowing into the Bay of Bengal. Coastal flooding, combined with the bursting of river banks is common, and severely affects the landscape and society of Bangladesh. 80% of Bangladesh is floodplain”

“due to its unique geographic location, suffers from devastating tropical cyclones frequently”

“Some of the most devastating natural disasters in recorded history with high casualties were tropical cyclones that hit the region now comprising present-day Bangladesh”

“Tropical cyclones affecting Bangladesh have killed about 1.54 million people”

Of course, that was all due to “climate change”, we just didn’t recognise it as such. /sarc

“What on earth does the Mirror rag think it’s going to achieve with climate porn like this?”

Simple, the Mirror exists solely for the election of Labour govts, and everything that happens in the world is blamed, either directly or indirectly, on “Tory Austerity”.

This morning the sun rose a few seconds earlier than last week due to climate change. As we approach mid year in the northern hemisphere the hours of sunshine are increasing all because of climate change and co2 pulling the sun up earlier …. … and unicorns are now nesting in the trees …

At least we don’t have to buy the Mirror every day. We are obliged by law to buy the Bigotry Broadcasting Corporation every day whether we watch it or not.

Throw out the TV and then you do not have to pay them. It’s also very amusing when they come and pretend their white vans are detector vans but refuse to let you see inside.

There are going to be food shortages worldwide from Russia to US due to the cold earlier in the year that has destroyed crops. The people who can call the shots are deliberately misleading the majority of people (who don’t research these things for themselves). People are being spoon-fed a load of codswallop. The governments and their supporters will save themselves but so far haven’t made any attempt to store food against coming drastic shorages which Will appear over the next few years.

Does anyone else see a search for virgins to sacrifice to a volcano not too far into the future?
