Although not climate related, it does have similarities to the Peter Ridd case, and concerns threats to academic freedom:

Countryfile’s gone full “Green Blob”. Makes you wonder who’s behind this “Climate Emergency” crap.
The BBC is all propaganda and no science. Harrabin ensures that the BBC covers the “climate emergency” or “climate crisis” in every conceivable programme. Who is behind Harrabin is a good question. It could be EU funding, or various greenblob “charities” – there is plenty of corrupt money to fund the propaganda and there are plenty of gullible idiots around who lap it all up.
It is the same evil influence which is behind the “climate emergency” propaganda by the BBC which allows no dissenting voice and the shutdown of academic freedom – we have to fight both evils.
In the old days it felt like they were were the teacher and I was the student.
The TV/Radio voices were these experienced old timers.
Now these day I can’t bear it cos the voices keep coming out with all this crap
So I feel like the experienced teacher who’s having to listen to naive students.
It does my head in
.. Every time I switch on, it’s not long before I have to switch off for my sanity.
And in the old days disagreement was done via slow explanation
now it’s done with sneer & disdain.
I’ve supported Noah Carl. I urge others to do likewise.

Noah Carl seems to have started a very serious push-back.
I supported Peter Ridd in his action against JCU and I would do so again without hesitation if necessary. This often-violent trend to silence all dissent is a cancer that must be eradicated for the good of not only the Western world but indeed all the world.
This is becoming a habit. I compared this recently to the hounding of Sir Tim Hunt for an off-the-cuff remark at a conference in South Korea which happened to get up the nose of a ‘supposed’ journalist (ironically her journalistic credentials did not stand up to close scrutiny!).

This is all of a piece with the trend in academia to avoid anything that might “upset” people.
I see the Ridd case as slightly different. That was a university closing ranks against a whistleblower in danger of spoiling the party. I’m not sure which is worse, that or the SJWs in full cry to shut down any speech or thought that doesn’t accord with their narrow and hypocritical world view.
Both need opposing at every turn.
Well at least Noah Carl has not been put in jail for his views as happens in many countries.
Try loudly questioning the Holocaust in many countries and you will find your self in jail.

Many Scientist have lost there jobs for not being Climate Change enthusiasts.
Tommy Robinson was put in jail for exposing rape gangs and there little covered trials.
