Could this be the same wally who has just travelled to Sicily (by foot?) to lecture a bunch of hypocritical billionaires (who flew there in a fleet of private jets) about climate change?

Prince Harry has added to the hot air at Google Camp — by giving a barefoot speech at the billionaire summer party in Sicily about the need to save the environment, Page Six has learned.

A source said the Duke of Sussex showed up at the super-secret three-day event to give an impassioned lecture about saving nature to a crowd of A-list celebrities and power brokers, many of whom arrived in gas-guzzling private jets and are staying on enormous mega yachts.

The prince covered the same material he talked about in an interview with British Vogue this week, where he said he planned to have no more than two children with wife Meghan Markle, the source said.

“Two, maximum!” he told renowned British anthropologist Jane Goodall while chatting about the deterioration of the planet.

Up to 200 celebrities have descended on the island of Sicily, chartering 114 private jets to get there and tooling around on Maseratis between staying on megayachts worth up to $400 million, according to Italian press reports.

The three-day event is ironically focused on climate change, but the world’s rich and famous will also discuss human rights, politics and online privacy.

It’s unclear how much time the attendees will sped discussing their own effect on the environment, with The Post calculating their flights alone would pump at least 784,000 kilograms of CO2 into the air.

The attendees were also photographed tooling around the island in gas-guzzling, high-end SUV’s.

The billionaire creators of Google have invited a who’s who of A-list names — including President Barack Obama, Katy Perry, Naomi Campbell, Leonardo DiCaprio and Diane von Furstenberg for the mega-party, now in its seventh year.

.

Or the same Prince of Wallies who thinks nothing of using private jets to attend showbiz parties, or whose wife flew to New York did the same a few months ago for her lavish baby shower?

Sometimes the Royal Family need to travel by air to fulfil public duties, but Harry and Meghan are taking the piss.

If they really want to set an example, live like the rest of us. Otherwise, stop telling us how we should live our lives.

Looks as though he is going to be as whacky as his old man Charlie (who is flying to new Zealand for a few days – it’s called a flying visit!).

He has been co opted into the Hollywood set. His wife has to maintain her credibility with “celebrities”. He has no influence on anything except news media.

Couldn’t agree more, David. And now to Harry. As a Royal all your life, and much loved for appearing to be fairly normal, you, of all people, must know that any form of virtue signalling must be taboo for all Royals.
Your, and your “advisers” should make ‘notalotofpeopleknowthat’ compulsory reading. Paul Homewood’s magnificent blog, much concerned with the topic of so called global warming. You will be amazed at what you find there.
While we’re at it, please copy in your wonderful and much admired Dad. Of late he seems to have gone overboard dolally, along with Attenborough, D. But a little factual re-education would do much to help you all.
Seriously, please stop making yourselves a huge laughing stock and wake up to reality, before it’s too late.

If he really wants to save the planet (does his wife have any say in this?), he should have no children at all. That would also solve the problem for future generations.

As we all know the main objective of the super-rich is to get superer-richerer, because they obviously deserve every million. This greed has to be paid for by the rest of the population (which also needs to decrease as it spoils the environment for them). This is probably the real cause of the global warming fear campaign.

They need to read some French history to see what happens to these bloaters when their greed is recognised and the poor become sufficiently hurt……gillet jaunes to the tumbrills anyone ?

I’m with you Jack. With billions of dollars being thrown around for carbon taxes, and no end of government subsidies, why shouldn’t the super-rich get in first?
So its ‘Golden Opportunity Time’ for Harry’s mates and bigger bills for us urchins.

this was an recent assertion .
It was a written testimony to a U S House committee on digital security.
This may or may not have a bearing on the Hollywood views on climate and world population

Oh really!, and to think only yesterday he was telling us about our unconscious racial bias.
Say’s he, who will be cosseted from cradle to grave in a life of luxury, Alright for some eh Harry?

It’s about time he followed his GrandMother’s example, and STFU. He is increasingly becoming a poster boy for republicanism

Why have even one child if you really feel so strongly about such issues, and who really cares what this free loading couple thinks anyway. Much too full of their own p..s and importance,

  14. August 1, 2019 8:03 am

Paul, I agree. These hyp, or as they think hip people have gone into another orbit of self delusion. Maybe if they read your blog for an hour or two they wouod get the message that they are actually condemning a lot of poor people to a life of misery.

I have to say I am not a Royalist, but this carping about Prince Harry wanting only two children because of overpopulation strikes me as petty. It isn’t CO2 that is a danger to our planet but overpopulation, a report the other day said the number of humans will be 9 billion very soon. Politicians are turning a blind eye to this fact, so no change there then, but our small world cannot sustain such numbers, our natural world is under pressure which should serve as a warning to all intelligent folk who care for the future of their grandchildren.

No David, not so. World population is set to peak in the middle of this century and fall thereafter. As populations become richer, aided by fossil fuels of course, and better educated, birth rates drop.

Ballcocks, Our planet is overpopulated NOW never mind in a few years time, how do I know that? our natural world acts as a barometer on the state of our planet, so we can see all over the planet animals & plant life are under pressure because of humans. If some folk haven’t the wit or wisdom to recognise this then they are guilty of neglecting their grandchildren’s future.

    Comical.

I suspect this may be Meghan pulling the strings, making a sideswipe at her sister-in-law, who is following in the family tradition of having a large number of children, and why not when we are living through a Climate Optimum, with abundant flora thanks to a healthy level of CO2 in the atmosphere.

Sir James Bevan, CEO Env Agency, was being interviewed on Today this morning about the probable need to re-home people in coastal areas being hit with the ‘Climate emergency’. He managed to get the term into nearly every answer he came up with. And the fools at the BBC don’t ask him, if it’s an ’emergency’, why are you prepared to wait years before acting?

Probably an even easier question would be to name somewhere with the caveat that there has not been erosion for centuries.
