Am very much looking forward to Sky News in the U.K. syndicating some of Andrew Bolt’s perceptive (Aussie Sky) observations for domestic consumption here….. Still waiting…… Still waiting…. Er, it’s not gonna happen is it?

    • November 7, 2019 9:22 pm

Not going to happen cos SlyNews is owned by Commiecast
whereas SkyNews Australia and TalkRadio are owned by Murdoch
He owns the Times as well, but its pretty libmob

For Christmas SlyNews has started a new Breakfast Pantomime Show
It stars Panto Dame Kay Burley and her Wicked Witches of the West.
      Sketches include
: where they surround a male and shout “mansplaining” at him.
: Empty Chair where she storms into a radio studio where a guy is speaking and demands he comes on her show, and then when he doesn’t have time right away she interviews an empty chair, then interviews him 40 mins later.

“Climate Act Now!” To do what? Lower carbon emissions until we run out of the fuel needed to move people and the goods they need? Real smart.

It means cough up but the small print is missing where it tells you who gets all the money you throw at them.
I’m so pleased that all my neighbours for miles around and in spite of the wet weather are out “Acting Now!” yet again with bonfires and fireworks.

But, but …… Your opinion on global warming is invalid if you are not a climate scientist, or so they tell us.

      What’s a ‘climate scientist’?

      • November 8, 2019 9:07 am

As they said about civil servants, ” Two little words and both are lies”

In times to come (and not far off), anyone pretending to be something they are not will be termed as “climate scientist”
e.g. instead of “That freaking shangster of a quack!” will be changed to “That climate scientist!” Even Newspeak will have it’s slang.

In my opinion, Wigan RLFC are rubbish. History shows that they are the most successful Rugby League club in Europe. There is a difference between opinion and real facts. Anyone is entitled to an opinion, however wrong. Facts are irrefutable.

I’ve debated a “climate scientist” in Letters to Editors and all he’s done is GIGO computer modeling that observed climate continues to show models have been completely wrong. Says my referenced books are not reliable because they are not peer-reviewed literature. Yet they are filled with peer-reviewed literature and other research by noted scientists. The climate alarmist’s scam continues for grant money and other funding-related agenda.

It’s noteworthy the BBC broadcast this letter from “11,000 scientists” as their lead story yet as far as I know made not a single mention of the letter to the UN in September from 500 professional scientists working in the field of climate or related subjects like meteorology.which stated there is no climate emergency, that climate change is mainly natural and stressing the benefits for food output from the modest rise in CO2 (ref Clintel)

O/T SkyNews Australia Manspreading ideology is ‘just a load of rubbish

  8. November 8, 2019 9:36 am

Is this the same 11000 thousand report or a different one
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-50302392
It was only published on the 06/11/2019 it has 2402 comments
Sadly the comments are already closed after less than two days. Maybe to many sceptic deniers commenting. I would have love to link to the Sky Australia report.
Private Eye sometimes takes the piss out of climate change but more often support it.
The latest has a classic Lie. “SHIPPING Fuel’s errand THREE percent of the world’s greenhouse gas are produced by shipping.” WHAT I thought most of the world’s greenhouse gas was water vapour. I guess they meant Co2 but that would be a lie also as most Co2 is natural. So they must have meant man mad Co2. But that is just a drop in the bucket.

AFAIK the BBCnews dept is a bunch of activists who work hand in hand with GreenBlob’s PR professionals
      – Create a PR story
      – Use compliant media to hype it
      – I suspect BBC activists are tipped off that comments are open , so they can pile in.
      – They DO NOT care much whether the PR piece is true, MGrath included a line in his report mentioning that known climate scientists were absent
It is the nature of PR that it is hit and run .. ie cos yesterday’s story is tmw’s chip paper you can get away with stuff
It’s about feeding your Climate-zombies today what they want to hear
.. Skeptics don’t matter cos they are not going to buy your product anyway.

Yes they close the comments pretty quickly
but if you want there are Facebook posts still open
      BBC News 4.5 Likes 1.8K shares .. 1.3K comments
BBC Earth 3.1K Likes 1,000 shares ..881 comments
      – BTW facebook.com/groups/ihatethebbc had a debunk 6 hours after the BBC story 87 Likes

I have watched this on Youtube. Maybe you can find it too. BTW a paleontologist may know about past climates. so you can take that one off the list. The nice well bred ladies at the BBC have not studied any science except sociology and political science that is why they are so sure they are right all the time.

Down the BBC page it has had from the beginning a paragraph to deal with the flakiness of the names

So who are the scientists who have endorsed the report?
Some 11,000 *researchers* of all types and varieties from 153 countries have endorsed the research
The authors say they didn’t target individuals so there is a marked lack of some of the bigger names in climate change research.
All the details of who’s signed the endorsement have been published online.

    * Even though that word “researchers” is a catchall
eg it could include a psychologist who once asked a question about Climate change
but based on on Ezra’s picking out of names as theologian, family doctor, real estate agent .. the list won’t have 11,000 researchers on
And technically you shouldn’t include retired researchers.

I just checked RetractionWatch but I spot no discussion of the opinion paper or people ..Maybe there is a discussion on Facebook or elsewhere
I don’t find it in either their FB posts, or the community section

Although I live in Southampton I get all my news now from SkyNews Australia – it’s the only reliable source I know besides Fox. As well as Andrew Bolt, there’s the excellent Peta Credlin, Chris Kenny and Paul Murray, and also the Outsiders Show which is an antidote to the ABC’s hyper woke Insiders (a talking shop for leftist bigots). All available on YouTube which I can watch via my PVR. Remember to “Like”.

I have submitted a complaint to the BBC
either Matt McGrath Environment correspondent is useless at his job and can not do basic source checking or this is deliberate false reporting.
The article contradicts itself firs saying in bold “A global group of around 11,000 scientists have endorsed research that says the world is facing a climate emergency” then saying “Some 11,000 researchers of all types and varieties from 153 countries have endorsed the research” but gives the game away with “All the details of who’s signed the endorsement have been published online.” A simple check of who has signed will show that they are neither scientists or researchers but anyone who bothered to respond.
Did Matt McGrath not look at this online list or maybe they thought they would get away with the lie.

PR story created –> BBC/MSM CutNpaste –> Top politics people WORLDwide retweet the BBC

eg Kevin Rudd exPM Oz (3,000 likes) , Carloline Lucas, Dale Vince
    bbc.co.uk tweets

BBCscienceNews (7,000 likes), BBCnews (multiple tweets), Greenpeace
    bbc.com tweets

  15. November 8, 2019 6:12 pm

But Bjorn Lomborg..was quick on Nov 5
You would imagine these 11,000 scientists at least were able to put together a coherent argument for why there is “an emergency”
They don’t — they just ramble what seems like 1970s limits-to-growth thoughts
    Read the paper
    It is sad

“My favourite is this guy from Namibia!” – P.H.

My curiosity piqued, I look up info on Namibia, and find…
    https://www.nust.na/?q=study-nust

“The Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) is a vibrant institution of higher learning with approximately 11,000 students enrolled,…”

    …naaaaah, just a coincidence.

But who is this mysterious Hanjo Böhme, anyway?

    Click to access Namibia%20Crane%20News%20No%2053_%20Apr%202015.pdf

Looks like he’s real, alright. Retired conservationist, apparently? (no association with NUST, it seems – i.e., didn’t come up in the search results)

  19. November 12, 2019 9:20 pm

Ezra Levant agrees. It’s a con job.
