Well done that man the Hon Ben Franklin. I wish we had some of him in our House of Commons.

Can’t we give him an award?

Yes, £100,000 from the UK media would be a good start.

Paul, even if we have some they would be either too scared to speak out, or be drowned out by the rest.
I know we used to have a few who were sceptical.

I wish that people like him acted as the environmental analysts for the BBC!

Slight error that Mark needs to fix,

Rate of sea level rise a Fort Denision is 2/3 mm per year,

No sign of any acceleration or anything

So 1m sea level rise, assuming continued linearity, would take something like 1500 years

Are you SCARED yet ? 😉

David TC Davies MP has said similar things in the UK parliament
but the buffoons sneered at him.

    Paul,I am confused.
The first page of your post on my screen goes direct to comments. There is nothing of what this politician said.
Am I the only one to report this?

        Hi Paul,
I`m the same as Avro- I see no video or link. In your reply to Avro above, You`ve said “this is the link” – but there is nothing.

      • November 22, 2019 12:23 pm

Strange! It puts up the video again on mine.

I’ve now split the facebook link into two parts, so if you copy and paste together, you should be able to downlaod it.

Maybe you have a setting that stops you downlaoding facebook videos?

As H L Mencken said 100 years ago:
The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.
How refreshing to hear your speech instead of the utter rubbish we have to endure from our pathetic MPs

” I wish we had some of him in our House of Commons.”

The man is a member of the “One Nation” party.
I agree he makes a lot of sense – always has.
But don’t think this is mainstream in Aus – it’s not.
This is like a UKIP member making similar comments – yes, a polly, yes voted for et al, but the party he is a part of is a vanishingly small part of the parliament, and all the rest are greenwashed into “we’re all gonna die unless…”.

Thanks Paul for the link.It seems that I have to create an account to get in: will try later.A million things to do at the moment.
By the way just seen todays Express, and pages 1-3 are full of blatant nonsense by John Ingham about the Solomon Islands sinking under C.Chg.and rising sea levels.
I think that I,ll have a go at this one.
