The usual excellent stuff from Tony Heller:

Truly excellent indeed. The most shameful aspect of all this – if you are a Brit – is the percentage of these stories that emanate from this tiny speck on the planet.
Just how and why are we so stupid?

NGO’s are in charge within government:
“Lord Deben has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to the environmental agenda and has had a distinguished career in this area. He has been Secretary of State for the Environment, led the Quality of Life Commission, is currently President of GLOBE International, and has had extensive involvement with environmental bodies.”

FoE once called him the best Environment Minister ever.
      Gove and WWF
      Former FoE and WWF

Don’t overestimate your country. Australia, New Zealand, and Canada are about as bad. The USA escaped by a miracle, and the Democratic Party still does not believe that it has happened. The EU will now produce miracles of its own under the firm leadership of Ursula von der.

We in the US have not escaped completely by any means. NOAA and NASA GISS are still altering weather data and academia is still pumping out it’s usual climate bunkum as they train their successors to continue the disinformation. The “resistance” in the administration continues to resist by ignoring the initiatives of the POTUS. In Virginia where the democrats finally took over they are trying to mandate zoning codes to eliminate single dwellings and concentrate people into projects using imaginary climate change as one of their excuses for it. .
Really for most of us, it’s not “we” that are so stupid. It’s the ones in government and academia that claim to be smarter than us that are the real cretins.

I think a lot of people are brain washed over all the climate change my teacher told us in the 60’s that the earth turns on its axis every so many million years with cold country’s’ getting hotter hot country’s’ getting colder

Paul your own article about a 2020 deadline
“The experts, led by Christiana Figueres, who as Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change played a key role in the Paris Agreement, said they must start to fall rapidly from 2020 at the latest.”

and don’t forget the Guardian doom-line which is now 37 months overtime

    • December 27, 2019 12:27 pm

Christiana is also a member of the Costa Rica National Liberation Party. Any questions?

      Well Paul and Stew,

Never mind the world ending tomorrow.
For penance for my sins of emissions, I went to the Gruniard web site with one of my wife’s clothes pegs (my nose now hurts).

They are now saying that their forecast of the world ending tomorrow has been fully vindicated – – – – but but it will definitely be happening in 2050 if we do not all go back to cave dwelling.
I wonder how such stupidity can be tolerated without some sort of brain surgery.

Many thanks, Tony! I’ll raise an extra, celebratory glass today in recognition of the fact that we all continue to survive against such overwhelming odds. One thing that puzzles me, though, is that we never seem to hear anything reported by the mainstream media about these disasters. I’ve not seen a mention about the sad loss of the Maldives and, even more surprising, there’s been a complete news blackout concerning the disappearance if Manhattan…

as commenters point out that list misses loads of stuff

“In 2011, Maslowski updated his 2007 forecast of an ice free arctic, to 2016, plus or minus 3 years.”

For CAGW history starts in 2000, or possibly 1980, because actual history undoes their narative completely.

      Perspectives are changing.
      Future catastrophes loom large.
      Past events cast no shadows.
      If history starts today
      Everything is unprecedented.

    My usual advice:
    1. Party! We’re all dead anyway, no reason to even try.
    2. Consult a psychic for future predictions. It’s probably more accurate.

In a blind panic! Keep looking out to see what’s about to happen, -the fire and brimstone scene? -But it’s all just the same as ever. Just ‘weather’.

In the meantime, a friend tells me that his local parish council in Sussex is about to declare a climate emergency. Must be serious if lowly parish councils are being so monumentally stupid. More expense for the poor old taxpayer.
Feel free to write to this parish called Worth Parish Council,

I think that failed predictions can’t be emphasised enough. 2020 seems to be an ideal time to ramp up that emphasis as many of the doomsday predictions have used it as a deadline. It is the perfect response to those who claim that the science is undeniable. If these scientists are so sure that they have their facts right, how come they are always wrong?

The UK has the dubious privilege of hosting COP26 in Glasgow next year and more than 30,000 delegates will be walking/cycling/swimming and sailing to it from all over the world. I hope our esteemed host (and those of similar blogs) will have something very special lined up along the lines of Tony’s videos. It will be needed to counteract the wall to wall greencrap slime which will be emanating from our national broadcaster and slithering down the walls of the living rooms of the UK population.
