China To Boost Oil & Gas Exploration, As EU Prepares To Commit Suicide
By Paul Homewood
From Reuters:
BEIJING, May 22 (Reuters) – China said on Friday it will bolster the capacity of the country’s energy reserves and offer lower gas and electricity charges to key industries, as it looks to ensure energy supply and offset the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
In energy announcements on the first day of the parliament, known as the National People’s Congress (NPC), authorities also pledged to boost the country’s oil and gas network and continue to support exploration for unconventional gas reserves.
The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said in a statement it would push forward construction of crude oil reserves.
The coronavirus pandemic has led to a slump in demand for crude oil, with insufficient storage capacity worldwide.
The NDRC said it would also press ahead with competitive trading of mining rights for oil- and gas-bearing zones, aiming to attract more market players into oil and gas exploration and production.
The country will also accelerate construction of oil and gas network and encourage the opening up of pipeline facilities to all eligible users, said the state planner.
China set up its long-awaited national oil and gas pipeline company in December aiming at providing fair market access to infrastructure and boost investment in oil and gas production.
Meanwhile, back in the rotting corpse known as the EU, car manufacturers are in desperate crisis, faced by the long term threat of climate policies and the immediate threat of coronavirus:
And the corpse’s response?

So car manufacturers, already facing oblivion because of lockdown, can only expect aid to see them through difficulties not of their own making if they agree to bankrupt themselves in the search for “cleaner cars”. I suspect many, like Nissan, will say “on your bike”!

Sad. Who votes for the fools in charge?
Nobody votes for those in charge, the EU Commissioners. There is no democracy in the EU. The MEPs have no power.
Electric cars only sell to a tiny minority. EU leaders don’t get it, or don’t want to get it – their ideology is not wanted when it comes to paying for it.
Why do you think laws have been made to force EVs upon the unwilling public?
Seems like our great leader Borisconi doesn’t get it either.
Exactly. The EU forces car-makers to build EVs to get them to abide by the law that emissions should be averaged over the manufacturers’ range – or they face huge fines PER vehicle.
The EU then – without shame (there’s no EU word for ‘shame’) claims that EVs are a success and the way to go!
EVs would only work on a mass scale if governments heavily subsidised their purchase to make them affordable to the great unwashed, Our leaders would also have to provide the cheap electricity to power them to make their use affordable, not to mention the charging infrastructure to make them work and, of course, the reliable, non intermittent sources of energy required to power them in the first place. In the post Covid financial environment that simply ain’t going to happen. It couldn’t even of happened in the pre-Covid environment. Anything else is just waffle, pixie dust and wishful thinking. Buy yourselves a good diesel folks and you’ll be just fine, before they’re banned that is!
And never mind what to do with all those unusable fossil fuel-powered vehicles many of which would be required to build these new PV vehicles, the batteries and the charging stations needed, not to mention those beautiful new solar panel farms and bird-killing wind turbines on every horizon. What can these “leaders” be thinking?
Hee-hee. The unusable FF vehicles will be stacked up 100 deep to a) build eco-reefs or b) to provide flood barriers for the expected sea-level rises to come. /s

The Asians have always dreamed of the so called “Asian Century” when the asians take over global leadership from the europeans but they never imagined that the europeans would so willingly cooperarate.

If the EU is hell bent on committing economic suicide, this could be a great opportunity for the UK. Unfortunately our government is just as mental.
I posted this on May 17th. I still don’t know what to make of it but, in view of the Chinese actions on energy production and ignoring their commitments to CO2 emissions, the pieces are fitting together. There are too many conspiracy stories our there and this might be just one more but we do know that China has been implicated in influencing the opinions and appointments of the heads of various UN agencies. Would be huge if true.

Off Topic.
I really don’t know what to make of this. Its the first time I have come across either of these 2 characters.
Its very conspiratorial and centres on the Chinese war with the West especially America, no surprise there.
Its quite long and more or less centres on Chinese misinformation and how they use their power and reach to influence MSM, politicians and opinion generally.
I got think how it relates to CC and of course it fits perfectly. We know that the some of the heads of the UN, IPCC etc. are sympathetic to Marxist ideology so the stuff coming from that direction should be suspect.
If you had the Chinese agenda and wanted to destroy your perceived enemies what better way than to make them believe it was in their interest to reduce their CO2 output so a level that is catastrophic for their economies.Enter Mr Strong and the IPCC to start the ball rolling. Didn’t Strong flee to China when he was exposed as a fraud?
We also note that the Chinese are not falling for this CO2 scam, they wouldn’t if they started it would they, and continue to build infrastructure that releases plenty of CO2.
Its a bit of stretch this one but also a bit scary.”
For some reason the video, which it says is unavailable, comes up rather than the link. I’ll try and post the link which was in the original link
Probably been taken down by the thought police.
No, I can still view it but for some reason I can’t post it. I might get a visit from our oriental friends thought

More on China:
So this is nothing more than the AGW ‘plan’ coming to fruition. Destroy the West’s industry by limiting energy production and replace it with China’s industry who has openly said they will continue using fossil fuels unabated until at least 2030. At least, maybe longer. That should be enough time to destroy industry in the West and centralize it in China. Meanwhile the useful idiots continue supporting China’s/UN goal by demonizing fossil fuels and promoting energy production that cannot replace it.
