2020 EMMA Awards

January 8, 2021

President Xi walks away with this year’s top EMMA award:

We at the GWPF were taken aback by the huge interest in this year’s search for the World’s Greatest Climate Hypocrite of the Year, with over a hundred readers submitting nominees and to explain why their favoured green virtue signaller was a worthy winner of an “Emma” award.

Speaking of which, it was good to see Emma Thompson nominated again. We’re not sure she has been in public eye for eco-hypocrisy again in 2020, so we imagine this was simply a recognition of the sheer magnitude of her brass neck in 2019. We’re fans too!

Amusingly, another Emma tried to get in on the act for this year’s awards, with RenewableUK’s Emma Pinchbeck nominated for her confession to installing a new gas boiler.

Watchers of the green cult couldn’t get enough of Harry and Meghan this year, with their fans nominating them in the “Eco-warriers/eco-worriers” and the “Ludicrous Luvvies” categories. And David Attenborough had a great deal of support too.

It’s fair to say that competition was red hot, with nominations ranging from Lewis Hamilton (go vegan peasants!) to Ursula von der Leyen (eco-lectures from the steps of her private jet), to the Norwegian State Pension Fund (don’t ask).

But in the unanimous opinion of the judges the winners of the categories were:

Eco-warriors and Eco-worriers – Torvil and Dean, for the awe-inspiring brazenness of their trip to Alaska to tell us about the perils of global warming.

Ludicrous Luvvies – Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, for their shameless demand that we should cut our carbon emissions, while swanning around the world in private jets and helicopters.

But in the unanimous opinion of the judges, it was our Preening Politician of the year who should take the overall accolade of Climate Hypocrite of the Year 2020. And who is that, we hear you ask? Well, it’s someone who does his hypocrisy on a truly global scale.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we give you Xi Jinping, the president of China. The General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party is a deserving winner this year for his smooth parading of “concern” for the climate while all the time building hundreds of coal-fired power stations in China and around the world as fast as he possibly can.

Congratulations to all our worthy winners. You are truly, truly shameless.

The Communist Chinese did very much more than be hypocritical about the climate. They conducted global biological warfare with the release of a deadly virus that sent Trump’s roaring US economy straight into the ditch…along with many others. They were able to create massive social and economic unrest, conditions that no leader could contend with economically. Unhappy with Donald Trump, the Chinese removed him without firing a shot. An election worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize??

      Chinese cock-up.
Researching viruses in their BSL4 lab in Wuhan. “Here, minion, take these carcasses to the incinerator” “Hmm, Aunty Ping runs a stall on the market, she can sell them & make some Yuan”

IIRC there’s another not much discussed virus lab with bats in residence in Wuhan – The CCDC Labs which are BSL2.

Amazingly – and almost entirely uncommented by the poisonous boobs in the MSM – the CCDC published a gene sequence for SARS-CoV-2 to GISAID on January 10, 2020 – ten days before Hong Kong shuttered the border.

Is a BSL4 lab mandated for SARS-CoV-2 ? – if it is one might reasonably ask how they managed this feat of gene sequencing?

Last time I looked the CCDC complex dropped off all Internet mapping for Wuhan …

For a bit more Chinese strangeness – I can recommend “What happened to Jack Ma?” – the Alibaba $45 billionaire

The biological warfare accusation against China is very important to substantiste but how could that be achieved and what could the West do in a deterrent response?

I doubt it’s an overt targeted bioweapon as RNA viruses in general have high mutation rates (50+ times more than say bacteria aiui) and any “weapon” performing predictably isn’t a given. Making it a bit more “human friendly” + deploying it as a disruptor to a societally different structure and accepting some self inflicted injury when you’ve a game plan that is cynical = possibly effective ….

The CCDC CoV-19 published gene mapping indicates that Chinese researchers were tinkering with this coronavirus at an early stage of the pandemic which might reasonably warrant BSL3+ containment. Virologist Nobel laureate Luc Montagnier claimed early on when the first sequences were published that CoV-19 originated in a lab … – not exactly somebody who can be waived off as ignorant?

The management of the response to the escaped virus is another matter – the CCP decided not to go down the Eyam plague village route…. Under Beijing’s civil-military fusion strategy, the PLA is sponsoring research on gene editing, human performance enhancement, and more – see Chen Wei

        The Indians are suspicious….

    Hi Paul,

An excellent list of hypocrites. Well done for all your great work.

They continue to wage war against the whole world in every way they can imagine.

How soon before they control all European ports?

If there was a “Global Parasite” award, they would have no competition.

A ‘Global Parasite’? Far too many contenders. From AOC, Biden, to Zuckerberg

They are just puppets of China. China is the real enemy of everyone. Of course having so many of our leaders on it’s payroll doesn’t help.

I was aware of Chinese involvement in Piraeus but not of their wider ambitions. It is described in much more detail here

      Their ambitions are very disturbing

      – PLA and Chinese Navy already on site, they’ve just built a security fence to keep the natives out (which hasn’t gone down well with the locals who aren’t keen on Islamabad – which is also getting all the money)

From a purely economic point of view, it was always a puzzle what they would do with the financial fruits of their export drive. Apart from a few raw materials there is nothing much they need to import, after all. It is only logical that – almost in desperation – they should use their idle money in the Western banks to buy fixed assets outside China. But they may find that ownership and unimpeded control are not the same.

The CCP has blocked high net worth individuals from investing overseas unless the CCP has a slice + mandated it…. – it’s the reason that the “ghost cities” have been built as I understand it. Last time I was in China foreign currency transactions over US$400 had to have government sanction. The civil-military fusion thing hints the CCP grip on assets is deliberate and strongly policed – paying off Bidens and assorted other gwailous is just a cost of doing business unmolested.

Xi has been pretty open and clear that China will support growing CO2 emissions until at least 2030 and MAYBE forty years from now will reduce emissions.

It’s the listeners who construe his words otherwise.

If I could correct a small error: Matt Kean is NOT the Minister for Energy for Australia, he merely is the Minister for Energy for NSW (fortunately). That he is ignorant, gullible and a waste of oxygen is by-the way. In any case he is only slightly more looney, but a lot more publicity hungry, than similar in other States esp. SA and Vic.
