It’s the usual ‘do as I say, not as I do’ from the rich and famous. Is anyone surprised?
This is all part of the big socialist plan. Crush the passenger aviation industry so the man in the street cannot fly anywhere. They are near that now with the Covid travel restrictions. The private jets will then be the domain of the rich and the elite and enable them to continue to go anywhere they wish.
The next part of the plan is to force electric cars on people so only the well off can use the roads. The electric car will also reduce travel due to their restrictive range, recharge times, and costly electricity, so people mostly will be forced to holiday in their own countries, or stay at home. Those that cannot afford electric cars will then be forced to WFH, and stay at home as public transport will be kept limited and expensive.
This is the future and I’m not surprised Gates is getting into the private jet business, it will be the only aviation other than cargo that will be in business in the future to keep aviation emissions down.
Rank hypocrisy, but what do you expect? The people running these companies will include individuals who will be able to buy the luxury limited run McLarens, Ferraris, Porsches, etc, the development of which will be paid for by the Useful Idiots who buy the “green” cars these makers are forced to produce to average out their carbon footprint, not to mention the average taxpayer who’ll be funding the company users’ tax breaks for such cars.
Maybe he wants the planes to be fuelled with unicorn poo.
If the leftist watermelons force their world of abject poverty on us all who do they think we be able to afford to buy or use their products and services? I know most of them are already awash with more money than they know what to do with although if it is in equity that will become worthless as nobody will be FaceTwatting anymore. Their empires maybe about to crumble now we have the Democratic Republic of America and so leaving millions open to using a non-left-censored service such as Parler, Bitchute etc. I see Peter Hitchens today points out that although Youtube lifted their block on talkRadio, his weekly slot has been deleted and not returned.
Amazon has told Parler not on our servers thank you…. good luck with having someone else take them on when they allow death threats and other illegal actions , which are never free speech – which doesnt exist when using private providers anyway who can restrict what they like
…..which doesnt exist when using private providers anyway who can restrict what they like….. Not when it is a conspiracy organized between every large player in the industry.
Perhaps he’s going to buy it & close it down to ‘save the planet’…
Then again …Perhaps not
Most of the people demanding that the little people save the planet seem to be developing space tourism rides for their hyper-rich friends. Could there be a more disproportionate and pointless use of resources?
O/T but interesting, one heat record has been cancelled.

It’s a shame the Met Office doesn’t take another look at the Cambridge Botanic Gardens issue. The error may not have been so glaring, but in all probability it was an artificially inflated reading from a very low quality site.
Hypocrisy off the scale, usual for a green.
Is Bill Gates a hypocrite? I give him a ‘pass’ on this.
The paper – MailOnline – has this line:
“The Microsoft boss’s company . . .”
Oddly written or maybe the writer doesn’t know that Gates has little to do with MS in 2021.
Bill served as the company’s CEO until 2000. He left his full-time job at Microsoft in 2008 and served as chairman of the board until 2014.
He is available for consultation, as desired.
Bill Gates does have an interest in Cascade Investment, the purpose of which is to make money. Bill does have an inclination, also, to poke into things that he thinks will be good for Earth and you and me.
See Cascade Investment’s Wikipedia page for notable investments.
Holdings include several in transport and hospitality, including booze and faux-meat. Also, nuclear power, automobiles, and other nasty things – diesel and gas engines (via Deere & Co.).
His current focus is on philanthropy. See the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, one of the world’s largest charities.
I am not a real fan of Bill, but I am a fan of the very rich using all the “made money” to do good things.
See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnegie_library
A Carnegie Library was available to me as a child when we were too poor to buy books.
“His current focus is on philanthropy.”
Some would say the foundation is a front for rehabilitating his tarnished image and at the same time a vehicle to make even more money for himself.
Your “nasty” is showing!

I guess that means that the directors and management are totally indifferent to his massive stock holdings in the company.
“I guess that means that the directors and management are totally indifferent to his massive stock holdings in the company.”
Bad guess. It is part of their duties. You might want to check on the many others that are expecting the directors and management to look after their interests. At least a few of those folks might not be nasty and evil.
