By Paul Homewood

Joe D’Aleo has produced a list of climate claim fact checks at ICECAP:

Full list is here:

Another important bookmark, alongside GWPF’s recent newsletter:

The capacity for our politricians for self-deception is amazing (the ones who aren’t on the gravy train, that is).

From ‘The Investigation’, a dramatization of the journalist murdered by an amateur sub-mariner on his submarine, there was a comment that struck a chord with the ‘success’ of climate alarmism.

“How many murders were there in Denmark lat year, less than 50, the lowest ever.
    It doesn’t seem like it.
That’s because we hear about every one.”

The focus on “effects” rather than cause should tell anyone who can think rationally that there is a rabbit away here. The fact that proving the cause gets so little attention and claimed effects SO MUCH attention gives the game away.

The simple fact that there is NO empirical data in existence which supports the claim that CO2 released by the activities of Man during the last 100 years somehow caused the current warming which began 350 years ago and that this lack of data is ignored should tell one and all what is going on here. Sleights of hand abounds, conflation is the name of the game so natural warming and claimed human warming become…human cased warming.

The fact that the promoters are never challengeable physicists but actors politicians and those in need of belonging to a group they perceive as the righteous. Even then facts are never presented and challenged openly.

The same language is used as right across the woke and PC world to intimidate and shut down opposition, and my how it works. This also should show the politics which underpins the scam. Look what happens to eminent scientists who do stand up like Dr Peter Ridd and Dr Susan Crockford. Those dependent on this corrupt money machine go for them like rabid dogs.

Every which way it is looked at this is a crock because there never was a firm grounding in science. If science is abused enough as is being done you can cherry pick bits and pieces which to the uneducated seem to support the argument. If this was a court of law and only factual evidence was admissible how long do you think the climate lobby would last?

Add to that totally baseless claims. Even looking at the claimed cause celebre of global warming and it’s petulant child , Climate Change it does not pass muster, none of it does. This is pure brute politics and when people saw money then they lost their morals ( if ever they had any in the first place).

It’s a three-legged stool requiring support for all of them.

As the stool above shows, the climate change package sits on three premises. The first is the science bit, consisting of an unproven claim that observed warming is caused by humans burning fossil fuels. The second part rests on impact studies from billions of research dollars spent uncovering any and all possible negatives from warming. And the third leg is climate initiatives (policies) showing how governments can “fight climate change.”

All 3 are flawed and fair game. You’re focused on the first one, D’Aleo on the second.

Yes…number 3 is the most overlooked and under-reported flaw. Net-zero negative emission technology has no quantitative goal that can capture and store CO2 in the amounts needed to affect the Earth’s climate. One part-per-million of CO2 is 7,800 million tonnes. CCS global storage is currently about 40 million tonnes annually. Do the math on the time involved to store it. Almost 200 years to store one ppm. Yet, the industry is being subsidized, with the Biden administration anxious to increase support. There is no spotlight being focused on this scam. Fair game, but too much already invested and too many reputations on the line.

Pardonme…. You are underestimating the opposition. “Woke” and “PC” are irrelevant distractions. The real driver is the UN’s “2030 Agenda for Sustained Developement” to which every significant entity in the world has affixed its signature and although in its entirety it is a fantasy it is being nibbled away in every sphere it addresses.

I think that I shall be being nibbled away by 2030. My consolation is that so will Biden. Not that that will save the USA.

Ref my previous comment: I have been very annoyed by commenters who have wished ill of Trump, on the principle that we should be conciliatory. I realise my comment may have been taken as me wishing ill of Biden.

Having thought about it…bollox – I can’t allow myself to think that way.

Really excellent. The man to get at is the new face at the top of the BBC . What you and Joe have set out is compelling for me but I am insignificant. This ‘traffic’ should be on the desk of the new face with a note to the effect that indifference to this information is at the root of the public’s failing confidence of the BBC. The bottom line is the sun governs our weather and so our climate.
It is the sun not some very rare atmospheric gas (CO2) that sets up the huge temperature differential from equatorial sunny side of the planet to the poles, as well as the differential between the warm sun-facing side and the cooler dark-side.
This sun driven effect initializes the atmospheric temperature and pressure gradients across the planet that form the basis of the weather and climate we see. CO2’s impact on this process is negligible as it involves so little energy compared to the solar effect. Oceans are the major facilitator of climate variation — as Poyet says (in his free e-book available at )
on what factor is the most powerful climate driver today, Poyet informed that over the timescales of centuries, the sun drives the climate with a long term hysteresis of the oceans of several decades due to their massive heat storage capacity.

The 1880-1890’s had very intense US landfall hurricane seasons because the AMO is warmer during centennial solar minima. There were some whoppers in the Dalton and Maunder solar minima too.
