Sky TV in the UK has been owned by Comcast since 2018. TV broadcasting in the UK is notorious for its metropolitan liberal bias, and that inherent liberal bias seemed to override any influence that Murdoch might have had on Sky TV UK when he was the main owner of the channel before 2018.
To give an example of UK TV broadcasting’s metropolitan liberal bias, consider this news story regarding a Royal Television Society conference event held in 2017:

At the conference Alastair Campbell asked 280 TV executives whether they were optimistic about Brexit, and not one put their hand up. They were all Remain voters.
Sky TV in the UK seems to be trying to position itself under Comcast ownership as being the UK’s Greenest TV channel. They are a principal partner and media partner of COP 26, and now run a daily climate news show lasting 30 minutes twice a day.
Both facebook and twitter have censored this article AND the video.

I note that Biden’s pick as the White House’s domestic ‘Climate Czar’ is Obama’s former EPA chief Gina McCarthy. The woman who famously didn’t have a clue as to how much co2 was in the atmosphere whilst trying to legislate against it and who agreed, at a senate hearing, that spending hundreds of billions on transforming the US economy away from fossil fuels would lead to job losses and fuel poverty but, hey ho, might possibly lead to a reduction in global temperatures of 0.1C. (Is that even measurable?) However, she intoned, what was really important was not the actual result of climate action but the leadership such policies would give to the world (well, everyone except the Chinese, Indians etc who weren’t listening). With the international climate gunslinger John, ‘we need to get rid of all co2’, Kerry whispering in dementia Joe’s other ear, is it any wonder that the Yanks have really lost the plot? Unfortunately, our leaders are no better.

Furthermore, there was little (if any) increase in CO2 until1950. So some mysterious force caused at least half of that warming despite the low CO2. Do they expect us to believe that force miraculously stopped once anthropogenic CO2 started to rise? Hell, for the 1st 20 years of CO2 increase temperatures were falling and there was a universal global cooling scare.
Fortunately, Biden(and his party), won’t be there for much longer.

Ben, if you want to solve any of your list then dont waste time and money opposing a benevolent, lifegiving trace gas called CO2, which is beneficial to the planet. The more CO2 we can release the better the plants will grow. Oh and no one has measured it causing any global warming at all. Which is a shame cause another 2 to 5 degrees of heat would be lovely, and good for nature and the planet.

I do agree with your statement and would add that astronauts and crews of atomic submarines are allowed to breathe “air” with up to 7000 ppm of CO2.
And, the air that we exhale has nearly 100 times as much CO2 as current ambient air.

What is the ‘proper’ global population if you feel the current 8 billion(approx) is too much?
Yes there is too much wealth in too few people’s hands and that put many roadblocks into a developing country’s improvement but that is not a population problem.
Large families in very poor countries are required, particularly where infant and child mortality is high. Also a large family acts as the social services for the extended family.
As has been shown often, as the middle class/middle income becomes the major demographic in most developing countries, then the need for excessive procreation drops.
And it has been noted that if that nation also invests in better healthcare, water, and waste management, and infrastructure, initially the population rises as the mortality rate drops. However the premium is that middle income couples feel more disposed to plan their parenthood and have fewer children.
This is currently happening as noted by the IMF.

Resent research has estimated that during the age of the dinosaurs there were millions of tyrannosaurid theropod type dinosaur i.e. Tyrannosaurus family dinosaurs. For large numbers of these animals to last so long on this planet there must have been many many millions, or billions of other dinosaurs for these top level predators to prey on. That would imply that this planet sustained many billions of dinosaurs over millions of years without difficulty. This planet can easily contain the current human population and billions more! This is because humans mostly crowd (like ants) into very compact nests of towns and cities and very sparsely anywhere else.
I would contend that this planet can easily handle twice or three times the current population without difficulty and retain most of the current wildlife, as there are more than enough resources to go round.
The major problem is man’s inhumanity to his fellow man, and the completely dumb leaders that attempt to lead national population for virtue signaling self-aggrandizement, profit or some other utterly illogical idea.

I do disagree with the President’s views on “climate change”, and the implied insinuation that it is due to CO2 (which in my opinion is NOT a pollutant or toxic). However, I do consider it to be a fact that burning fossil fuels results in the emissions of toxic substances, and therefore it most be appropriately regulated.
