“Eating Insects and ‘Climate Lockdowns’: What the Outrageous ‘Green New Deal’ Means for Your Future”

    Your Future?

So, the author of this article won’t be joining in the ‘feast’?

Of course not. They are the elite and far too important to bother with such distasteful fare. That is for the useless eaters such as ourselves.

CBN News is a Christian website. So the author of the article, Dale Hurd, will probably follow Biblical Old Testament practice which is to generally not eat insects. The only insects that are allowed to be eaten are ones that hop, like locusts, crickets and grasshoppers.

This Daily Express article explains the ‘unclean animals’ rules a bit:

The article is written mainly about consumption of bats, which is not allowed under the rules. In general birds aren’t allowed to be eaten, but I believe ones that can’t fly like chickens and turkeys are allowed to be eaten, which is why they are the predominant birds that get eaten in Western countries.

        Don’t forget the quail!

When the Children of Israel grumbled about their hunger and poor diet on the way through the Wilderness of Sin, God heard their ‘murmurings’ and sent manna and quails to keep them fed on the way to the land flowing with milk and honey. Exodus chapter 16, if you are interested.

Not the kind of exposé you’ll see from UK media. I sincerely hope GB News is prepared to disrupt the one sided narrative emanating from these dangerous people. Climate science, democracy, freedom of expression, technological progress, wealth creation, raising global living standards – it’s all being corrupted for political ends.
    Keep calling it out Paul.

De-growth, climate change lockdowns and not to forget climate change as the cause of death on the certificate ?
Sinister thoughts while on strong physcoactive drugs – at least that’s how I imagine they come up with these oppressive, controlling fantasies.
These people need to stay in Hollywood making weird films rather than dabble with social engineering.
I’ll stay as I am thanks.

Have you noticed how the word equitable is slipped in everywhere these days? It used to be equality but now it is equity.
“‘You need our help, we’re experts, we’ve studied this, you need to listen to us. We’re going to keep you safe. We’re going to keep you at an equitable level,'” Morano says of some leaders’ thinking. “And they think rule-by-expert is the way humans should be living because it’s better for the planet, it’s better for humans.”
Found this while Googling: Equality generally refers to equal opportunity and the same levels of support for all segments of society. Equity goes a step further and refers offering varying levels of support depending upon need to achieve greater fairness of outcomes.

I’ve just been reading how Disneyworld are changing their corporate theme by encouraging employees to reject equality and strive for equity(!).

Woke doesn’t even cover it. (But Marx might)

And today’s latest scare from Kew Gardens (per the Telegraph) is we will have to give up potatoes and lettuce and eat dandelion leaves and “mustardy small roots) because of climate change. I remember eating potatoes from Israel and Malta but of course they are much colder than the UK.

Disney is already on track. Baloo recommended eating ants to Mowgli ” …… you’re going to love the way they tickle”. In the Lion King Pembaa, who likes dung beetles, says ” Slimy…. yet satisfying”.

Mr Kipling (Rudyard, not exceedingly good cakes) actually has Baloo eating ants for a treat. They are part of the diet for some Asiatic bears, but allegedly not of the sloth bears that Baloo is based on.

Who voted for this green new deal? I certainly didn’t.
