Well if you previously thought Kerry was an idiot, you now know that you totally underestimated his cognitive problems.
Biden & Kerry. What a pair! I sincerely hope the US electorate wipe out the Dems on the mid terms.
What? Like Covid was an inconvenient distraction, but nevertheless exploited, to the grimy business of financial schadenfreude?
Soft in the head as suspected.
He really believes we’re worried about plant food whilst people are being bombed?!
Kerry is just …….. certifiable!
Words fail me. How offensive to the people of Ukraine.
What a disgusting specimen he is.
I don’t remember John Kerry chastising Joe Biden for using the US strategic oil reserves to increase the availability of fuels for transportation and lowering the costs to Americans. The net result of which is more CO2 in the atmosphere. Maybe they are both having memory problems?
Mrs J has just suggested that we ought to get Greta to go and shout it Putin. After all, there can hardly be anything more damaging to the environment than a war!
Do we really believe newspapers TV Radio any longer? By another coincidence I have just been looking at Quadrant online. Australian site. I often wonder what motivates the contributors , but here is a very interesting breakdown of news media companies.
( I was concerned about reporting on the current situation in Eastern Europe which seems to me to be manufactured .)
https://quadrant.org.au/opinion/ media/ 2022/02/ the-media-is-the-massage/ which is
New Zealand is supporting one side which appears to be a rightwing tyranny. A very odd situation for a Socialist government.
searching Orthodox Russian sites may help too to vary the reporting, oddly enough . Get your news where you can.
sometimes the posts get mangled using Chromebook, which is Google I think. My apologies
As Mark Twain said, to not read the newspapers is to be ill-informed – to read the newspapers is to be miss-informed.
Stupid…is to mild a word for him
This is laughable, the man is an idiot !!
He’s known as ‘Lurch’ for a reason.
Now that’s why he looks so familiar!

What a shallow man
The sad fact appears to be that the mad rush of Europe (mainly but USA also) to unachievable net zero has encouraged Putin into his current adventure. He knows full well that Europe cannot afford to do without his gas so really don’t have much option but to spout fine words while doing little or nothing.
And if the predicted icy Arctic blast into the USA (March 1) were to move to Europe then most countries (except those with a “Leader” whose name starts with a J) would stop opposition.
And with about 60 pipelines delivering russian gas into Europe there is an opportunity for a smart operator (whose name starts with a P) to punish those who continue objecting.
Dont panic, JK.
Putin is ahead of the game, by being behind.
All the West’s missiles are now electric – so that should limit the climate impact.
The West just needs to find some working charging stations and wait for a bright windy day and they’ll be ready to go.
Depends which way the wind is blowing. If it’s blowing in the wrong direction, launching the missiles can be counterproductive.
A man who truly believes.
I can see his point – potential deaths in seventy years are far more important than actual deaths today.
Here’s a video with transcription of the US Secretary of State John Kerry presentation in Jakarta, Feb 2014
https://2009-2017.state.gov/secretary/remarks/2014/02/221704.htm
Two quotes*:
‘First and foremost, we should not allow a tiny minority of shoddy scientists and science and extreme ideologues to compete with scientific fact.’ and
‘The global energy market is the future. The solution to climate change is energy policy. And this market is poised to be the largest market the world has ever known. Between now and 2035, investment in the energy sector is expected to reach nearly $17 trillion. That’s more than the entire GDP of China and India combined.’
——————-
*Added bonus:
‘I know sometimes I can remember from when I was in high school and college, some aspects of science or physics can be tough – chemistry. But this is not tough. This is simple. Kids at the earliest age can understand this.’
……
The first quote is spot on.
His view is supported by the UK climate change committee already Lord Debden and Chris Stark have said the same sort of thing.
These people believe, it is pointless trying to reason with them because even a bright shiny new tank parked on their driveway is having no effect.
He just found out what being an irrelevant fool feels like.
The fog of war hides everything especially the truth.
That video is #FakeNews
It’s the same malicious editing tricks that were used against Trump
MemriResearc have taken a BBCnews Arabic video and edited the question off the front
and spliced the middle
So it makes it look like Kerry cares more about Climate than Ukraine
..doh of course he talks about Climate. He is at a Climate conference being asked a climate question.
I wonder how long it’ll be before some idiot (take your pick from Kerry, Greta, Biden, someone at the BBC, etc. etc.) actually blames the war on climate change, since they tend to think that if anything bad happens in the world it’s because of climate change.
I can imagine their potential (non) logic. It’s been a mild winter over most of Europe, obviously due to CC not weather. This has made large scale military action easier as in some previous years Ukraine would be 15 below zero and covered in feet of snow. QED climate change helped Putin which is why he isn’t keen on measures to reduce carbon emissions.
When it comes to REAL existential crises, nothing focusses the mind quicker than a gun to your head. Yet all this guy can talk about is policy based on some wild predictions made by dodgy models.
