Regarding the monthly BBC Weather Check, I had not realised that it originated a couple of years ago, as part of the BBC’s propaganda blitz, “Our Planet Matters”:

This confirms that Climate Check is nothing but a propaganda vehicle for spreading the BBC’s climate agenda.

There’s an irony that the BBC chooses to quote the Met Office, but rejected the Met Office for its weather forecasting contract.

They preferred their own made up data as opposed to the same from the Met Office. After all who would trust the output from a £ multi million super computer?

What they really mean is, see AGW-trends behind the weather. I bet they have no intention of showing any trends which would go against the current orthodoxy. Dr Goebbels would be proud.
If they think there’s trends in “daily weather” they really are dumb. They don’t even understand the nonsense they propogate.
It will be a day for celebration and return to normality when people realise the the alarmist propaganda about climate and the associated net zero policy are just nonsense spread by a group of leftie environmentalists who want to control the world.

The collapse in standard of living is already here and MPs are blind to how much of it is caused by climate policy and the madness of Net Zero. Keir Starmer is banging on about a windfall tax on oil and gas companies to raise £2 billion to knock VAT of energy bills whilst ignoring the elephant in the room: £6 billion is already added directly to energy bills via the ROCs for wind and solar generators by government diktat.
And the cost of all environmental levies on domestic electricity was estimated as 23% by OFGEM. All mandated by successive governments. Starmer wants to knock 5% tax off whilst ignoring 23% of teat-sucking subsidies?
If fossil fuel generators getting market prices for electricity (circa £200 / MWh for December 2021 as PH pointed out) deserve to be penalised why ignore the solar and wind generators who are getting the same market rates but also creaming an additional £6 billion a year directly from consumer electricity bills as ROCs?. They are getting market rate +30 to +60% on top depending on whether they are onshore/offshore wind or solar provided. All as PH pointed out a month or two ago. Why are we all paying for this? When will the public wake up?

As another scientist I couldn’t agree with you more. And that is precisely the reason why the politicians will ignore the realities, as you describe so perfectly, as to do otherwise will mean admitting to them being catastrophically wrong. And that will never do for a bunch of self serving, venal f*ckwits and idiots. As an example see the constant refrain about “due to the pandemic” as opposed to the reality of “due to our hysterical over-reaction”

“Climate checker” is like a “Fact checker” i.e. big brother telling the proles what they should believe. The meja have also now started “What you need to know about” sites, more telling the proles what to think.

I guess that it should be possible to plot alleged climate change against the facts as they emerge. Divergence or disparity which is revealed while be the first alert to the Climate Check’s eventual withdrawal and its replacement with something which better fits the BBC’s agenda.
Can any article demonstrate how hopelessly lost the MO is? If they were interested in science this would be an article on the manifest shortcomings of using weather station data to demonstrate climate change, and the massive impact of urbanisation and land use change.

The trouble with the Met Office and the RMetS, they no longer use science. As for using UK weather station data they would find this. https://www.weather-research.com/weather-and-climate No warming for over 24 years. Real science is not on their agenda.

I would have worded the petition much stronger, bearing in mind the extent that CCP shill “Dr.” Tedros has tossed out well established Pandemic policy and endorsed Chinese policy.

Looks like the BBC will be steering clear of reporting on Arctic ice for a while. It seems to be melting very slowly this year.
Pretty well ALL of the BBC output is propaganda playing to their climate alarmist agenda.
Hell, they even managed to weave it thoroughly into a program about classical music on Radio 3. Utterly ridiculous tosh, but there are plenty of ordinary people who lap it up and regard it as the unblemished truth.

It is a fact that no child leaving school this year has ever seen climate change (in the terms in which they are brain-washed) and I doubt your 10 y-o daughter will see any before she leaves school.

Many reasons to have an interest in the nonsense e.g. the nonsense is costing lots of people lots of money, the nonsense reduces the stability of energy supply in the UK, the nonsense provides funding to Russia to wage war on Ukraine, the nonsense could increase deaths through energy poverty this winter.

20% of strokes attributable to PM2.5?

Personally I find piping standards highly unlikely to cause strokes!
It’s utter garbage. P hacking of the worst kind. Take lots of data and keep moving it around until you find a correlation that meets your “wee P” criteria.
And the data is totally unreliable – we don’t know if the people suffering strokes were actually exposed to the PMs. It’s done using large areas and postcodes. And of course PMs are now 25% or lower than in 1970 but there’s no reduction in strokes from that.
BBC News make up fake stories all the time and do not hesitate to use illegal means to ensure their stories are sensational.
The worst examples of their fakery like Lady Diana and Cliff Richard end up as national scandals. At least Rupert Murdoch had the decency to close his corrupt News organisation down. Not so the BBC.
However in this case they are only following Parliament which on our behalf has declared a climate emergency!
