I like John’s site and I would like to provide him with some interesting results on glacial retreat data and modelling I have done that would reduce the warming post-1960s in HadCRUT4. Based on his cLOG document I think this might interest him.

For this one the National news uses the green format and the local use red format
There are two types of news in Germany: Tagesschau (8 p.m.) and Tagesthemen (around 10 p.m.).
While Tagesthemen have had a more neutral themed weather map before,
Tagesschau always used a similar map. So stop spreading fake news.

I suspect that if you go back far enough you will find that the Germans used normal maps. It is a question of when they started using the hyped ones and was it because they thought the colour might be helpful or for propaganda.
No Stewgreen its not. Its a legitimate question because your post specifically referred to the German one and said about half were fake. So is the BBC one fake or real?
I am not surprised I haven’t heard because (a) I don’t give a flying f*uk about Twitter and (b) even if I did I certainly wouldn’t be following a climate propagandist like Leo Hickman.
Perhaps he got the Guardian to make these up, who knows?

I put that picture on my Facebook page a couple of weeks ago – yesterday Facebook admin flagged it as apparently Independent Fact checkers have decided there’s ‘Missing Context’.
I’m still waiting to hear what the alleged missing context is, I’m not holding my breath though!

Their ‘missing context’ claim is complete BS. What ‘context’? Says who? Since when was ‘context’ a matter for Facebook? The pictures speak for themselves, where similar temperatures were presented on standard green maps but are now presented on a furiously hot-looking red map. Hot, hot, hot!
These people are effectively social media fraudsters, shutting down any opinion that embarrasses them or their AGW mantra.
This level of interference is NOT normal and NOT acceptable.
