Climate Emergency Update
By Paul Homewood
Climate Apocalypse Update / AKA – News You Won’t See On The BBC:
Global hurricane activity reamians well below average:
https://climatlas.com/tropical/
US Tornado numbers are also below average and the longest period ever without an EF-5 tornado continues to get longer:
https://www.spc.noaa.gov/wcm/#data
Arctic sea ice extent is at its highest for the time of year for several years, and June extent has barely changed since 2005:

https://nsidc.org/data/seaice_index/
And Antarctic sea ice extent, while low this year, is still on an increasing trend:
https://nsidc.org/data/seaice_index/
Greenland’s ice melt began about two weeks later than usual, and the Surface Mass Balance remains well above average for this time of year:
And the latest data shows that there are no adverse trends in US wildfire activity:

Nevertheless, it’s doubtlessly hot somewhere!

Will you be doing a review/takedown/evisceration of this?

Now the poor BBC thinks it is the victim of abuse if people push back against their politicisation of the weather.
Given their examples, abuse seems to consist of having a different opinion, not real profanity or actual threats!
Also, love the way they have given such prominence to a fruit loop conspiracy claim any fool knows is garbage, probably made up by alarmists to discredit, to smear the whole ‘denier’ community.
Any organisation with any sense of self-awareness or customer/public opinion would realise that it is because people are sick of paying to have this propaganda message continually shoved down their throats

Mr Grim (cannot call you Nasty, we have never met!), Chris Fawkes (MetOffice) told me, unequivocally and definitely, via BBC Radio 4 that thousands could (would?) die from the heat on Monday and Tuesday, 18th & 19th July. Is it any wonder that BBC and their MetOffice forecasters are held up to ridicule for their FalseFacts, FakeScience and Disinformation?
The vast majority of supposed heat deaths can only be determined by later statistical analysis. It isn’t something that will appear on a death certificate except very rarely. The heat is just the last straw for someone already in poor health. At the moment there is a mysterious fairly consistent substantial non-covid excess death, a likely result of the lockdowns and vaccines – I bet the BBC won’t be so keen to publicise that!
The BBC News is relentlessly pushing the report from a UK team of ‘scientists’ that last week’s two-day heat-wave was caused by man-made CO2. Actually, they let the cat out of the bag slightly when they then went on to explain it was exacerbated by ‘other’ greenhouse elements (paraphrase).
What they really mean is that the ‘scientists’ kept beating the models until they gave them the result they wanted.
“if you torture the data long enough, it will confess to anything”
Ronald Coase, Economist
The Met Office definition of a UK heatwave is a minimum of three days.

I believe they are reporting on the ” World Weather Attribution Group” analysis. This report was based on “data” from 3 weather stations that reported high temperatures. I will give you co-ordinates to view for yourself from the aerial images available on Google Maps with the red marker showing the site. The first was Cranwell, better known as RAF Cranwell (surprise, surprise) at 53 01 52N 00 30 13W. Not only is it on airfield it is sited smack bang alongside a sewage settlement tank! Very representative don’t you think.
The second was St James Park……I will not even waste your time discussing that site’s likely representative accuracy. https://www.google.com/maps/@51.5048904,-0.1310811,3a,75y,106.33h,73.59t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1soh4DT8vQBMsXSRwHAcqEIQ!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fpanoid%3Doh4DT8vQBMsXSRwHAcqEIQ%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile.gps%26w%3D203%26h%3D100%26yaw%3D68.79822%26pitch%3D0%26thumbfov%3D100!7i13312!8i6656
But the coup de grace has got to be the Durham site. This one has moved location multiple times in its long history (it was originally on the balcony of the Observatory building!) but here it is surrounded by hedgerows ( and tampering students) and buildings.
https://durhamweather.webspace.durham.ac.uk/overview-and-brief-history/
Of course they could have used the Central England Temperature Series sites but they would almost certainly not have produced the “data” they wanted. Personally I believe it could well be defined as criminal fraud…perhaps some climate action group should take the government to court………..
More heatwave hype.
They admit it WAS possible without their climate model assumptions, but yer but no but yer definitely climate change.
I’d also love to see the runs where they reduced urban development 20% in Europe and UK back to fields and trees, my bet that’s worth more than 3C, possibly a lot more, may even completely alter pressure pattern.

No surprise there!
Excellent reminders from Paul as above. It’s these recorded facts that the ‘experts’ find so unsuited to their sermons. As we heard today on the BBC those experts have been explaining the cause of the recent 2 day heatwave.
Perhaps the recent milder days and chilly nights are also covered by that explanation. Unnamed experts are not to be identified, as usual. To re-state the obvious, the entitlement to the licence fee is increasingly questionable as the lack of ‘balance’ becomes the norm.
It was good to read that after a few days of hot weather Prince Charles thinks he’s been proved correct about climate change!
It changed back to normal service within a day or two. But that was weather of course 🙄
It can be hazardous to rely on charts that begin in 1979 because they are plotting global satellite data and necessarily presume that prior to that the global data trends were level? We know from stratospheric ozone data that assumption is invalid. Total column ozone prior to the TOMS/Nimbus-7 satellite in 1978 is well documented to have been rising steadily since 1960 before trending lower for about five years.
As someone who lives in the tropics, and been hit by a number of Cat4/5 hurricanes, nobody cares about “well below average” in July. Mid-Aug to mid-Oct is the time line when it really matters hereabouts. Hopefully this below average trend stays true, despite the constant bleating and wishful thinking from pretty much every forecaster that it will be above average.
These are the global figures with 24-month running averages, so they are highly relevant
i see on Electroverse Argentina have declared a climate emergency – for COLD.
MORE REAL SCIENCE
THIS SHOWS HOW CLIMATE CRISIS ALARMISTS HAVE SELECTIVELY CHOSEN DATA SETS TO CON US INTO BELIEVING THERE IS GLOBAL WARMING, MASSIVE INCREASES IN WILD FIRES, LOSS OF ICE ON THE POLES ETC ETC.
ITS A BIT LIKE A MAGICIAN SHOWING YOU THE TRICK
ONCE YOU SEE PRECISELY WHAT THEY HAVE DONE AND THE FALSE IMPRESSION THEY CREATED – YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE A WORD THEY SAY EVER AGAIN
ENJOY – WE AREN’T IN A CLIMATE CRISIS – WE ARE HEADING FOR A MINI ICE AGE – ALL PERFECTLY NORMAL – AND MORE TAXES AND COMMUNISM CAN’T FIX ANYTHING

What is the definition for a UK heatwave?
A UK heatwave threshold is met when a location records a period of at least three consecutive days with daily maximum temperatures meeting or exceeding the heatwave temperature threshold.
https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/learn-about/weather/types-of-weather/temperature/heatwave
So according to the Met Orifice’s own definition, as it only lasted two days technically it wasn’t a heatwave.
From https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/62212604 :
The heatwave of 1976 started in June and lasted for two months. There was a lack of rainfall and a significant drought, with the government enforcing water rationing.
BBC and Met Orifice making stuff up – again…
