Potty Monbiot is at it again:

Despite his rant about climate change, he lets slip his real objective, which is to return most of the world’s land surface to the wild.

There is no evidence either that his “plant-based diets” will be any less detrimental, in his terms, than animal farming. Arable farming after all also needs lots of land, fertilisers (which will have to be chemical when all those cows are consigned to history), water and energy.

Monbiot is, of course, comfortable well off, with his books and articles for the Guardian. He can afford the potty policies he advocates. The billions around the world who depend on animal farming are not.

It beats me why RTE or anybody else, other than the cranks who read the Guardian, would give him the time of day.

    Moonbat the Magnificent.

Funny though. In 18 months Biden has done more to dismantle the climate/netzero/great reset movement that climate/political sceptics have managed in the last 50 years.

Moonbat, of course, is too stupid to recognise what happening.

Although my initial reaction to his latest buffoonery is to think it would be a fine idea to feed the moonbat to the pigs, But I think far too highly of pigs to imagine that his rancid frame might provide them with agreeable sustenance.

I am consoled by the thought that Monbiot’s apotheosis of stupidity is likely now an effective Recruiting Sergeant for sanity.

RTE is using this as clickbait as the economy of Ireland is hugely dependent on pastoral farming due to CLIMATE! Nothing to see here, move along. George is always good for a laugh.

It’s already happening, or about to do so…

Farmers asked to reduce their emissions by 25% represents a ‘bad day’ says IFA Munster
      chairman
      THU, 28 JUL, 2022

“Right now, that looks like they are taking out the production of 300,000 breeding animals. It is a bad day for farming. We don’t know what plan is there,” he said.

Mr Kingston said farmers will now be considering whether to continue farming on a full-time basis or cut down their farming completely.

Said it before Paul….. RTE is now even more strident on the supposed climate emergency/crisis than the BBC and Channel 4. Just last week a veteran (middle class) anchor, who would, very likely still have a subscription to the Guardian, was interviewing a like-minded eco warrior about how firms’ bogusly greenwash their reputations. The guest intoned that he didn’t want to be regarded as a hypocrite about something or other when the notoriously alarmist male RTE anchor proudly interjected by asserting that simply by being alive on the planet we are all hypocrites from his own, environmentally catastrophic, climate viewpoint. The other experienced interviewer who was speaking with Monbiot on a different programme, who had been invited on to speak about methane from cattle, completely missed Monbiot’s extreme point about ending not only livestock agriculture but also, eventually, all crop farming and where humans will end up existing on a potage of bacteria soup!

Well, Georgie, kill off the 440,000 elephants in the world to let us know you are serious.

Same as with human emitted CO2, nature dwarfs Man’s actions.

‘Despite his rant about climate change, he lets slip his real objective, which is to return most of the world’s land surface to the wild.’

Indeed. He is interviewing for a job with Klaus Schwab’s Wannsee Economic Forum.

Cows eat vegetation and that recycles sequestered CO2 back to the atmosphere. So, if we replace cows we will be doing the same. Even if we eat the meat we recycle the plant materials the cows ate. It’s all part of the carbon cycle. Maybe this guy is full of MBE…male bovine excrement?

Regardless Jim four tons of methane exuded from the Amazon biosphere each day is meaningless Jim… The more salient fact is that globally termite excreted methane exceeds human methane emissions in totality.

Jim , this is the research you are looking for : decaying forest wood emits on average 10.9 billion tons of carbon annually – a figure surpassing combined human carbon dioxide emissions … Insects such
as termites [ quite apart from their methane excreta ] are thought responsible for 29% of this dead wood carbon release process
..Some not so smart climate change obsessed ‘scientists ‘ recommend leaving the wood in situ so that in some environments the wood inevitably becomes a fuel load wildfire hazard . https://theconversation.com/decaying-forest-wood-releases-a-whopping-10-9-billion-tonnes-of-carbon-each-year-this-will-increase-under-climate-change-164406

I am a life long vegetarian but believe people should be allowed to eat whatever meat they want, provided it is humanely reared and slaughtered and we know its provenance,

I am baffled at this notion that being vegan will save the planet. Their diet is rich in imported lentils, grains, especially soya, and all sorts of veg and fruit from overseas, including of course the much favoured avocados.. I don’t know where they think their almond and coconut milk comes from, as even here in the balmy west country coconut and almond trees are little in evidence. . Much vegan food is also highly processed using materials not grown or originating here.

. Our grazing pastures could not support much else so are ideal for cattle, sheep etc.

Strange reaction. I think I already said its none of my business. As a humane person you no doubt already ensure your meat is bred and dispatched ethically. However very many people think it IS their business to decide what you eat of which vegans tend to be the worst

This is a story of me as a 12 year old . . . In 1972 at an Anti-Sealing booth at a shopping mall near my home, Greenpeace was advocating to ‘End the white Seal Hunt’. I asked the girl on duty that day if she was a Vegetarian. ‘Of course!’ was her answer. She added that ‘she objected to the killing of all animals, even for food’. So, what do you think of the slaughter of Buffalo, I asked? ‘That was disgusting and totally reprehensible!’, she replied . . . Well then, I said, maybe you should stop eating bread and noodles and rice and corn oil, because they all are grown and harvested where the Buffalo used to roam . . . that makes you a Supporter of the Slaughter of the Buffalo. Her terse response was . . . ‘I believe in no such thing! . . . Get out of my booth, now!!’ This is a very simple story . . . very complex realities. That kind of simple thinking from that girl, in that booth, that day, Rules our World, even today . . . Environmentalists have brought this ‘Naïve simplicity’ to us today . . . In Spades! PS . . . Those Buffalo, pound for pound, have been replaced in North America, by 70 million Cows . .

Greenpeace & The WWF Won $$$ . . . Nature looses . . . Nothing was learned . . . Except how to line your pockets preaching ‘The Good Word’ from upon high . . . Our new found Religion . . . Brought to us by Environmental Zealots . . .
