97% Want Green Levies To Be Scrapped
September 15, 2022
By Paul Homewood
Every time there is a poll about Net Zero, the vast majority vote to do “something”.
And every time there is a poll to ask them if they want to pay for it?
A poll of Express.co.uk readers shows that 97 percent are in favour of suspending green levies to save on energy bills.
Liz Truss should “scrap not suspend” green levies, according to a new poll of Express.co.uk readers. Last week Prime Minister Liz Truss unveiled a new energy support package to help Britons through the cost of living crisis and manage spiralling energy bills.

Is that the same 97% who said the world is too hot ???
They didn’t. That’s a warmunist lie.
That was a long running poll. Midday Wednesday, September 7, to 1pm on Tuesday, August 13.
Perhaps the media will at last , start talking about how Green taxes are putting up the cost of energy for everyone .

It has hardly ever been mentioned that the ETS , [ Carbon Tax ] , has had a large influence on costs . From the link above , about £ 370 on average per family per year .
Not the only cause , but raising the cost like that of gas/ oil/ coal generation also puts the price up of all of the other generation .
So , perhaps the public might now learn some of the real facts behind the massive increases in energy prices .
Oh no! The dreaded 97%!
As I keep saying, if all the green levies and NZ policies actually achieved the target of NZ for the UK (alone) – how would ‘they’ – and we – actually know???? What benefits would we derive from the costly sacrifice? I’d ask my MP but he would just offer me guff – usually from one of his Green spads.
Not the same as SCRAP the levies, that is.
You’re perhaps fortunate as to your MP.
“My” MP is the new Prime Minister. Her involvement in constituency matters is horribly remiss. Must have something else to do…
Give the girl a break, she’s got a hell of a job on.
I had the same guff from my MP Flick Drummond who believes in the expertise of the Climate Change Committee . But hadn’t done the sums, clearly
From the Express: “A total of 3,813 readers responded, with the overwhelming majority, 97 percent (3,703 people) answered “yes”, Ms Truss should suspend the green energy levy.”
But the poll question is: “Should Liz Truss suspend the green energy levy to reduce bills?”
Not the same.
Why would it not reduce bills? Tumbleweed…
Not sure the Express is worth the paper it is printed on….
Actually I have discovered they have a good quality energy correspondent when he is allowed to write. Much better than almost all the mainstream media ones. He was the one who dug out that EdF had taken a board decision not to proceed with Sizewell C, so evidently he reads other languages and a wider press. He actually talks sense, and presents good analyses. A shock perhaps, but also a useful thing to know if you ate looking for a decent report on something.
I wonder what demogaphic the folks that were asked that question were?
(That is an appallingly word sentance I know but I’m tired).
Dare I hope that the “peoples” are beginning to wake up?
Good news:
Zac Goldsmith has been sacked from DEFRA. Tied down with a job at the FCO so he can’t go spouting, no longer attending cabinet.
Question: “Should Liz Truss suspend the green energy levy to reduce bills?”
Put another way: “Now that you know this is gonna cost you dear, should Liz Truss change things to keep the myth going that you save the planet while somebody else pays?”
Answer: 97% in favour of saving the planet and somebody else pays.
Planet does not need saving. That’s BS.
Ah! But they believe it needs “saving”!!!!
It would useful if they understood that green levies, and the things they subsidise, don’t and won’t lead to anything being saved, while money is lost.
I’m 97% sure the UK is in for a tough 8 months.
8 Years
What percentage wanted them in the first place?
The MSM would love it to be 100 %, but they know they couldn’t get away with that, because, sadly, the recorded rate of prevalence of dementia in England, as an example, was 4% in 2020…
