Trump Was Right

October 2, 2022

By Paul Homewood

Mad Mike mentioned Trump’s speech to the UN, warning about German overreliance on Russian oil and gas.

This is the video, with the German delegation acting like a bunch of overgrown schoolboys.

As the Germans are now finding, to their cost.
    Nemesis follows hubris

No doubt plenty of German politicians and Green campaigners were on Moscow’s payroll but that’s no excuse for the German electorate allowing their policies to triumph. It’s a democracy – and The People proved bloody fools.

What the Germans are finding to their cost is that they are a US colony.

Nope….can’t figure that, George. Care to explain how the US is withholding energy from a colony?

Figure it Harry. By blowing up the supply pipes the USA has made Germany, UK, most of Europe totally dependant on US LNG shipments.
The Baltic is a NATO lake – ultra surveilled. Only a NATO country has the access to blow the pipes. None would dare without US say so. Few other than US have capability.
Oh and the USS Kearsarge – large amphibious assualt ship that has an underwater dock plus midget subs and drones was patrolling in the area in the week leading up to the act of terrorism.
It was the yanks and they keep changing the subject when asked to deny doing it. Blinken has said that blowing up the pipes is a ‘great opportunity’ for Europe. USA guilty of the largest act of environmental and economic terrorism ever committed. But Western political, media and polity poodles daren’t bark at their terrorist master.

Can figure that, bobn, but it wasn’t on Trump’s watch. Even so, it seems a tad drastic for the US to do this especially as it would need (wouldn’t it?) the puppet, Brandon’s say-so.

Trump was right about a lot of things but his delivery/hubris/arrogance/whatever was always highlighted by the MSM over the message. PC wasn’t in his vocabulary.

      “… his delivery …”

A wise person ignores the characteristics of a messenger and considers only the substance of the message. Trump was stating the bleedin obvious.

The world is not over-endowed with wise persons, dave, which is why wise politicians spell it out for us and make it easier for us to understand and go along with.
Trump was not a wise politician which is why he is no longer in the White House regardless of how right he was. I would have voted for him in 2016; I would not even have supported his nomination in 2020.
Likewise I believe Truss and Kwarteng are right about what ails Britain. They went about their plans the wrong way which has given the international finance establishment — IMF, BoE, Mark Carney, etc — the opportunity to short the £, throw up their hands in horror and convince us all it was a big mistake.
The mistake was timing. They should have drawn the establishment’s teeth first. Worth remembering this is the first time in living memory that we have a PM and a Chancellor both with experience in finance in the real world!

Things will settle down. Or at least there is no reason they should not.

“The Donald” should have taken behavioral lessons from Jimmy Steward and Ronald Reagan. They had deportment, humor, and charm. A brash New Yorker doesn’t go over well with many people, including the German elite.
The Germans bought the whole AGW axiom and failed to understand the importance of the Russkiy mir.

Sorry, Johnny. The Left didn’t like Ronald Reagan, either. “They had deportment, humor, and charm” is just a justification of anarchy. It doesn’t make you clever.

Ad hominem is the official policy of the Democrat party.

I cannae change the laws of physics

The energy in wind depends on the cube of its velocity. 1/2mV^2 for kinetic energy

      But m is πr^2(Vxair density)

Everything is constant apart from wind velocity. Output varies with cube of velocity so it can never work, not in this universe anyway.

The BBC has just discovered something else which we all knew.

A company that has received billions of pounds in green energy subsidies from UK taxpayers is cutting down environmentally-important forests, a BBC Panorama investigation has found

The Beeb late on the scene – we could have told them that years ago, in fact we did! Drax sits on the North Yorkshire Coal Field. In fact that is why it was built there. It should revert to all coal burning instead of playing creative green accounting games to milk subsidies from the public purse

I’m with you! I have been saying the same every chance I get.
Even assuming that the generation process inside Drax is CO2 neutral (setting aside the fact that it will take about 20 years to sequestrate the CO2 released in a week, and that assumes that replacement trees will be planted) there is no way that mining and burning the coal that Drax is sitting on will create more emissions — and REAL pollutants — than felling and processing the equivalent calorific value of forests and shipping the whole lot across the Atlantic! And we subsidise that and call it green?? It makes no sense.
(Any more than it makes sense to grow food to turn into petrol!)

I think its more like 80 years to sequester the CO2, and also IIRC more CO2 is released per kWh generated from burning wood pellets than coal.

Like Trump or hate Trump his message was bang on. The smug Heiko Maas and his cabal of clowns does not look so smug now. They are nowhere to be seen. The EnergieWende is about to be tested to its limit.
Politicians should stay out of energy matters as they do not understand thermodynamics. The latest idiot to the energy dilemma is the useless Ursula fond of Lying spouting nonesnse about green hydrogen. Blind leading the blind.

I am amused at those who think Trump’s speech is the result of a writer and not what he knows and has experienced. As a worldwide successful businessman, he has seen it all and dealt with it all.

Donald Trump was big on coal even prior to his first election. As he stated, it was hard to destroy a pile of coal, but you could easily cut a pipeline or take out a refinery, etc. He viewed it as a national security matter. I think the research is in on this subject…..

Finally, to those who get the vapors over his “brash” personality…..get over it… Personally, I was and still am cheering that we finally have someone who called a spade a spade in plain language. Endless “nuance” does not get you anywhere as a businessman nor a successful President. Donald is both. He has been calling out he RINOS during the primaries…..they are losing and his endorsements are winning and the press is whining hugely.

As Blaster Bates once said (iirc), ‘A man who called a spade a bloody shovel!’.
My favourite pic of DJT was of him sitting down while Merkel and other EU leaders stood over him trying to get him on board with their ideas. Priceless!

      • October 3, 2022 4:24 pm

I agree. I have that picture saved. Talk about a picture being worth a thousand words…. I just looked at it and noticed that both Trump and late Japanese PM, Abe, have their arms crossed and interesting expressions when looking at Merkel.

My other favorite photograph is the one at the banquet with Queen Elizabeth and President Trump giggling w/ each other. They looked like a couple of conspiring school kids. Just marvelous.

The issue here is not Trump or Germany. The issue is what happens when stifle dissenting views. The entire EU and the UK are suffering under the same green delusions. Trump was never shy about getting in people’s faces or very selective about whether it was worth the grief it caused.
There should be nothing scarier to people than the phrase “everyone agrees”. When I hear that, I see lemmings going over a cliff.

The clip shows German politicians somewhat smugly laughing. Here in the UK we end up with the mentally disturbed being promoted in elements of the literally “shit for brains” Guardian. Just look at this article where there is no condemnation whatsoever for this total raving nutcase deliberately causing grotesque levels of offence.
This is the facebook reference to the self harming lunatic that the sick Graun thinks they should promote. I guess there is a reason why the Graun does not subscribe to IPSO – they are basically bastards.
Really WTF is going on. Sorry for the rant but this has gone too far.
