Who Funds The Eco-Zealots?

October 31, 2022

By Paul Homewood

This is the first in a four-part series examining the left-wing activists and wealthy organisations behind the climate change agenda.

AS THE eco-zealot group Just Stop Oil continue to break the law and cause mayhem, perhaps it is time to investigate who is pulling the strings of this and other fake grass roots movements. Even a cursory glance will make it clear that the people behind it are not everyday members of the public but a group of highly influential American billionaires.

Full story here.

Well I never, the people funding “Green” groups that call for the end of capitalism are extremely wealthy anti-capitalists.

When you get to the name Bill McKibben (in the list of activists) you just know that there’s a freshly-scraped barrel nearby.

The climate cult has deep connections with extreme left Marxist groups opposing capitalism and so-called ‘white supremacy’. But in the final analysis, even these fanatics are just the useful idiots of an even shadier group of global elites who, it could be said, typify white supremacy; they have no interest in helping to lift the Third World out of extreme poverty, only in exploiting the resources of the Third World and they will happily cull poor black and brown people just as easily as they are culling the residents of rich, predominantly white Anglo-Western European nations.

The insidious nature of it all is quite worrying. The Gates foundation effectively keeps the Guardian financially afloat, and Jimmy Wales of Wikipedia infamy is now a Guardian director.

“… Jimmy Wales of Wikipedia infamy …”

A few times each year, Jimmy asks for a donation. Fat chance! I’d be rich if I had a penny for every word of disinformation about “climate” related topics on Wikipedia.
I doubt it is possible to clean all the stinky carp out, so it is unlikely that I would ever make a donation. For your spare time reading, consider:

The issue is never the issue. They keep pushing ‘climate’ because it gets traction. They couldn’t care less about ‘climate,’ it is just a useful cudgel. Should ‘climate’ ever be solved, they will simply find new things with which to disturb the public.

    There is no finish line.

I have just sent this post to the phoney Tory MP Alok Sharma, COP27’s useful idiot. Perhaps it is time we started bombarding this idiot with “notalot” posts until he can ignore the truth no longer.

I think that unless you’re a constituent then MPs don’t have to reply to communications. Some don’t reply to emails ever constituent or not.

      • October 31, 2022 4:44 pm

Correct, MP’s specifically say they will not respond to people outside their constituency. As you also rightly observe even your own MP often won’t reply to an email

        From the USA
I attempted to send an email to a congress critter in another state.
There was a filter on the site that rejected my submission. I suspect a letter to the editor of a small newspaper in the person’s district would have a better chance of being read by someone on the elected person staff. Of course, a “snail mail” envelope with a check for 1,000 GBPs or USDs might entice someone to actually read your message.

‘Henry Root’ used to write spoof letters to the Great and the Good which usually ended with “Here’s a Pound for your coffers!”

We don’t need a reply. Just clog up the idiot’s emails. He may need then to take a look at at some of them!

Well, if we’re talking letters to MPs etc, I’ve (coincidentally) just sent this to the DT…though I guess it won’t see newsprint….

      Sir,

The news that BRITVOLT is likely insolvent is good and bad news. They claim that the factory they have set up will be able to produce up to 300,000 batteries for EVs (whether they be developed in this country or not) when it gets into production.

An EV battery will require approximately 130 pounds weight of Lithium and and a certain amount of Cobalt in its manufacture. Had that Lithium and Cobalt been mined and refined in the UK the Greens and XR would be up in arms at the ecological destruction caused to this green and pleasant land: EVs would certainly be protested against.

But it’s OK. Lithium and Cobalt are mined and refined in faraway places like China, Chile and DRC (using child labour under health and safety regimes which would shame a 19th century workhouse). Lithium itself yields huge, poisonous tailing-ponds that the anti-frackers in this country would protest to the heavens for damage to the water-table. Yet, the Green party and its offshoots are happy to back Net Zero to rid the West of fracking and oil-based products but don’t give a fig for the incredible despoliation of the far east and other remote lands.

If the answer to NZ is EVs then it was a damn foolish question in the first place. In any case, NZ is a stupid proposition.

      Yours, etc

If you want to be taken seriously, never send a link to TCW. It’s a revolting site full of hard right conspiracy theorists and misogynists. Not to mention being very anti Tory.

Not a description I would recognise.
It has attracted a lot of haters for revealing truths about covid policy/vaccinations that are now largely vindicated unless you’re in denial.
Accepted, it’s not left leaning, ergo knee jerk extreme right hate label is applied.
        Misogynistic? Ridiculous.

It changed its name because even the site owners realised it was misleading. It repeatedly stressed it was small c conservative and had written much hatred (some of it deserved) about the Tories. The only ‘woman’ about it is the two women who started it and a few commenters. The bulk of the content and comments are by men, many of them happy to insult and tell women how they should behave and think. The heavily religious overtones are a turn off to most modern Brits. In terms of science content it is at right angles to every scientific field. Eventually that points to an anti science position, not one of informed discussion. To me the site is as toxic as any hard left outlet. It spouts as much tosh as the BBC, just from a different position.

The whole reason to send someone a link to a site is to persuade them of your views. You are the choir TCW already preach to. I’m a right wing climate sceptic but wouldn’t link to a site that annoys me as much as it does, never mind send someone undecided to be repulsed.

Paul Homewood is a safe pair of hands. TCW isn’t.

TCW is ” full of hard right conspiracy theorists and misogynists …..that spouts so much tosh “? ….

For the record – and this rather undermines your absurd argument – Paul Homewood has previously been published on TCW . Are you suggesting Paul ” the safe pair of hands” is ‘hard right ” ? What other TCW contributors pricked your ‘hard right’ radar ? Strange that the self styled , possibly over-compensating “right wing climate skeptic ” TinyCo2 ” has turned up here to denounce a conservative website just as the page is running a series of damning essays ridiculing green left psychologists and their infatuation with the climate crisis cult without citing a single article TinyCO2 finds repellant or why the website is so “annoying ” …..What about the TCW critique of behavioral psychologist , affluent millionaire and career Communist [ descended from aristocracy one might add ] Susan Michie proposing that facemasks and social distancing should be imposed forever …? Who is the ‘social dominant ‘ personality telling others ” how to behave and think ” ?

” Stalins Nanny Says We Must Be Masked Forever . Its Not a Mask She Needs But a Gag ” TCW Michael Curzon , June 12 ,2021

Im sure you will agree ,its not a ‘conspiracy theory ” if they are openly advocating such policies . If TCW espouses an ” anti science position ” what is the scientific justification for perennial facemask and social distancing orders ” TinyCO2 ?

Climate scepticism used to be a much broader church. Sadly numbers have dwindled. It’s not because we are winning friends and influencing people. I can understand why people like Paul Homewood and Andrew Montford post articles at TCW and a big part of it is because few other outlets are still listening.

We are at a key moment for trying to get the public to listen as energy is so precarious. We need MPs more than anyone to learn about the questions warmists can’t answer but TCW would repel most of them. But it suits you, so who cares?

        “Sadly numbers have dwindled”

        Really, TCO2?

My observations are the opposite, especially as the evident ballooning cost of the Net Zero claptrap has caused a major re-evaluation of many peoples’ position on the subject.
