Net Zero For You, But Not Meghan!

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, was photographed Tuesday boarding a private jet in Indianapolis after headlining a female empowerment conference.
Markle was seen exiting an SUV before boarding the plane located at an area hangar also used by the Indianapolis Colts professional football team, according to video footage obtained by Fox News Digital. Markle had arrived just three hours earlier to speak at an event hosted by the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana.
Markle and her husband Prince Harry, meanwhile, have been vocal environmental activists. The pair committed through their private organization in November 2021 to achieve net-zero emissions by 2030.

Get with it Simon! They emit celebrity CO2. This is scientifically proven to be beneficial to the planet in all sorts of ways. Unfortunately civilian CO2 is deadly and it is our duty to the planet to encourage our beloved celebs to emit more whilst we humble civilians do our utmost to emit the minimum possible.
Have you had your co2 meter implanted yet?
Is the sooper dooper, beneficial celebrity CO₂ a direct result of all the hot air they produce? If so, are they responsible for ‘warming the planet’?

I think our friendly operatives need a quiet word with you. Its ok, we know where you live of course, and after their obviously necessary realignment of your views they will give you a signed photo of your favourite celeb, so please let them know in advance your choice-I suspect it may be Meghan or Kim Kardashian?
Who they??!! 🤣🤣 Just for the sake of clarity I should add that my dislike of “celebrities” is not limited to any one individual. I wouldn’t bother to walk down the garden to pea155 on any of them if they were on fire.

Does it mean that if they are net zero by 2030 they will have stopped breathing? Not that I would wish that on any hypocrites.
I’m surprised it’s news. She’s probably forgotten that there is any other way to fly. They have no shame nor a sense of hypocrisy.

It’s extremely dishonest and would leave a powerful impression with a casual reader. Primarily:
(1) Comparing iron ore amount to final amounts of other products.
(2) Not comparing the amount of ground that has to be processed to get say 1 ton of each product.
(3) Not comparing the relative amounts of toxic pollution from the mining/refining process, some of the products are themselves toxic or usually found in association with toxic/radioactive substances.
Quite right, MrGN…if EVs were so good they would have displaced ICEs in a free market just like horses were superseded 120 years ago.
Just to be clear — It is difficult and dangerous for celebrities, and disruptive for regular travelers, if such folks fly or live as regulars. Cinderella traveled in a golden carriage. 🤣

Not really. That is all in the minds of the modern ones.
Back in the day, celebrities were ordinary people of no great wealth, who just happened to be well-known. It was bad manners to ‘notice’ a celebrity standing behind you in a queue.

December needs to be about 3C colder than average to avoid an all time record in the mean CET.
It’s worth noting although the UK has had an exceptionally warm year, it is just local weather, and far from a reflection of global weather this year, other places have been much cooler than average like Australia.
The warmer the better with current heating costs.
Spot on. My gas use doubled last week as the warm spell ended and my stove installation has been delayed by nearly 3 weeks.
It might be that the Duke and Duchess of Woke have overstepped the mark with their latest piece of excrement. The King might well strip their titles from them.
