It’s all theatre.
Unless you are Klaus Schwab of course. Then it’s nothing to see here as he gets into those big ICE motors.
Did you see the size of his bobyguards ?
I gave up a long time ago trying to decide whether Greta (and her ilk) were just thick as mince or whether her owners think we are.
A few months ago at a dinner table with a few people I didn’t know I ventured the opinion that if we stopped spending 100 billions we didn’y have on Net Zero and discussed it all sensibly – just think how much good we could do in the world, never mind our own country. The result was amazing – the stupdity and ignorance of supposedly intelligent people was frightening to behold.
If I had no children and grandchildren I could be blaise. I will come back in 2050 and I am compiling a list of those I will haunt.
Net zero is a very stupid idea and anyone who believes in it should stop exhaling ‘carbon’ right now!
Slightly extreme, IMO they should just try living for a while without all the comforts of modern life (produced with fossil fuels) including anything that has been transported by sea, air or road using fossil fuels. My bet is that apart from a tiny minority of die hards they wouldn’t last more than 2 or 3 weeks.
If your people chanted the ‘follow the science’ mantra then no doubt they will keep having their booster jabs and if the heart problems don’t get them then their destroyed immune system will.
I thought it interesting that some protesters moved (squatted) into the tiny hamlet of Lützerath about 2 years ago and set this last, and futile, exercise in motion. When the TV cameras arrive, she is propelled into the limelight.
Timing is important when doing propaganda.
As we seek to leave the world of CO2 production behind us, we can either advance to green technologies or return to a world of cave-living with a short life span. I doubt if even Greta, Gore or Greenpeace would opt for that. Have the ‘activists’ have ever considered the pitfalls of their shiny exciting new digital world? “All will be fine, they say, if we can just persuade the ‘flat-earthers’ to reduce their CO2 output”
But what comes next? Take a simple smartphone with its content of Praseodymium, Terbium and Neodymium, amongst so many other elements – 14 for the screen, 5 in the battery, 18 for the electronics and 4 in the casing. The list of applications using precious metals is endless.
The Greens will probably think that these metals can be quickly ordered from Amazon by the click of a mouse. They should realise that a tonne of rock may contain a kilogram or even less of one metal and that a lengthy mining, crushing and refining process may leave behind a toxic lake or a mountain of spoil. All should be encouraged to read about the 5 mile wide sludge lake in Inner Mongolia, Berkeley Pit lake in Montana, Salton Sea in California’s Lithium Valley and the use of slave labour for Cobalt mining.
Perhaps the school curriculum needs changing.
Well said!
I feel sure Grea will soon be caught on a large yacht somewhere or in a fast italian sports car racing round the alps.
Has any one see Al Gores mad rant at the WEF? clearly lost the plot.
Did he ever have a plot to lose I wonder.
His plot is to make money out of climate scares.
Here’s a youtube clip for a bit of a laugh….St Greta’s mum on the Eurovision song contest. You can see where her daughter – (or was it an immaculate conception with neither Terry Bradshaw nor Franco Harris involved?!) – gets her dodgy moves from.
Where do the Pittsburgh Steelers fit in?
Sorry just a joke. Have you never heard of the “Immaculate Reception” as opposed to the “Immaculate Conception”?
The reception is a piece of NFL folklore. With the Steelers 7-6 down and just 22 seconds left against the Oakland Raiders in the 1972 AFC divisional playoff final, Terry Bradshaw tried to pass to running back John Fuqua. The pass bounced off the helmet of Raiders safety Jack Tatum but was miraculously caught by Steeler’s full back Franco Harris who ran it in for the touchdown and victory. I remember it very well.
I shall stop being so flippant in future and keep on topic!
