Joe Biden Wants Every US Military Vehicle To Be Climate Friendly

April 27, 2023

By Paul Homewood

If you thought we were potty enough in this country, than God we are not living the senile idiot who supposedly is in charge of the USA:

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said she supports requiring the military to have an all-electric vehicle fleet by 2030:

ERNST: “Do you support the military adopting that EV fleet by 2030?”

GRANHOLM: “I do, and I think we can get there as well. And I do think that reducing our reliance on the volatility of globally traded fossil fuels where we know that global events such as the war in Ukraine can jack up prices for people back home does not contribute to energy security.”

Granholm added: “I think energy security is achieved when we have homegrown, clean energy that is abundant like you see in Iowa. We think we can be a leader globally in how we have become energy independent.”

Could you imagine?! It’s bad enough that the Department of Defense has a scorecard to keep itself accountable as it advances “environmental justice for communities across America.”

The DOD has at least 640 staff working “on environmental justice, either in a full- or part-time capacity.”

President Joe Biden has been pushing this agenda since last April. He admitted it would cost billions:

While delivering Earth Day remarks from Seward Park in Seattle, Washington, Biden said last April his administration is working to make “every vehicle” in the United States military “climate-friendly.”

“One of the things I found out as President of the United States, I get to spend a lot of that money,” Biden said at the time. “We’re going to start the process where every vehicle in the United States military, every vehicle, is going to be climate-friendly — every vehicle — I mean it.”

He added: “We’re spending billions of dollars to do it.”

No wonder we couldn’t execute proper plans in Afghanistan or Sudan. The military is more concerned about environmental justice.

In the US they are lucky to have the GOP to oppose these foolish policies, and hopefully reverse them someday.

Which is more than we can say in the UK.

Here’s a simple question for the Simpleton Joe:

Next time you invade a country, how will you know they will have sufficient EV charging stations?

Why even have a military? So all of the vehicles will be electric? Might as well use Nerf missiles, too.

You do know our military and also Nato are wanting to remove the lead from bullets to make them more environmentally friendly I kid you not! Let us not worry about the effectiveness of the alternative…when we are thaving the pwanet. These people are 5th columnists or just plain traitors. Marxism by any other name

Basically, I figured that what she was after was to get EVs in non-battlefield situations – so really, just Staff cars. I’d hate to think what would happen if an EV driver suddenly found he (could be a ‘she’) was about to be attacked because a battlefield had decided to come to them. Apparently she has Chinese links….

Paul – you MUST check for typos before pressing ‘send’

Mistakes destroy credibility – and it looks unprofessional.

Get a little team of friends who will proof read before you mail out.

Get there? Not without using conventional vehicles that run on gasoline and biofuels. Transportation fuels that Mr. Biden wants to eliminate to zero emissions by 2050.

  9. April 27, 2023 8:12 pm

Fabulous idea. What forethought: Reduce your dependence on the instability of fossil fuels by buying a bunch of unreliable, temperamental, highly inflammable battery powered military vehicles. You can recharge these electric APCs and Jeeps with a Jerry can, right? It’s just that simple and quick, right? Just pour five gallons of charge right in the vehicle, right? Xi Jinping is rolling on the floor laughing at the latest edit from Beijing Biden and Co.

America has never won any conflict it has entered into since 1945.
Biden just wants to ensure that legacy continues. A truly great tactician. Hence blowing up Europe’s gas supply. Marvelous.

A simple search on U Tube will show the clip where Beijing Biden announced, “If Putin invades Ukraine, the Nord Stream will cease to exist.” When pushed by a reporter , How would that be possible? Brandon replies, “Believe me. We will make it happen.” And he did, with a little help from Scandinavian countries. But of course, lyin’ Biden denied it and blamed the pipeline explosions on, you guessed it, Putin. I thought he would blame Trump, but he went with what he knows, Russia, Russia, Russia.

The Germans halted NS2 certification on 22 February 2022 and it never delivered any gas although one of the two pipes remains operable. The US presumably put pressure on the Germans to ‘make it happen’. Both NS1 pipes have been blown up. There was no delivery from NS1 at the time it was blown up because of alleged equipment problems. The loss of NS1 allows Gazprom to claim ‘force majeure’ to excuse the failure to deliver gas according to the contract and hence avoid claims for non performance.

Don’t think any of that is BS. Facts and obvious inferences. Who blew up the pipelines and powerlines in Georgia in 2006? The collapse of the USSR in December 1991 was triggered by a ham fisted attempt to strongarm Belarus over gas supply (Belovezha Accords). I saw a comment that ‘Russia played its energy card too soon and its nuclear card too late’. Let’s hope the latter proves correct.

I’ve maintained that green energy is a de-industrialization policy and that would lead to de-militarization.

The Biden administration has found a way to cut out the middle step and go directly to de-militarization with a climate friendly military vehicles.

The H-bomb is actually very green, simply takes Hydrogen for a few loops into Tritium and then up to Beryllium and then back a bit into Helium. We do need a bit of Plutonium to get it started , but it is still friendly green. So we are going to ban conventional weapons and just use H-bombs, it is so much greener,
Greenpeace, WWF and FoE are all on our side, Biden is passing legislation now. God Bless Us.

Excellent point, Mack. The irony is palpable. Sort of reminds me of the old Jules Vern? novel with Cpt Nemo and his secret submarine, Nautalist? prowling the seas, destroying warships to, “put an end to war.” But I digress.

Obviously, the original plan of the DoD was to do precisely nothing until 2050 rolled around – when the nonsense would be somebody else’s problem

Now they have been told to do something by 2030, by the swivel-eyed loons of the Biden regime. Well, bureaucrats have a thousand ways to disobey.

I hate to think “conspiracy” but why is both a US energy secretary and UK energy ministers using “homegrown” in this way? There is something strange in the way identical words and phrases, often meaninlrss and stupid, are neing used by politicians in many differemt countries.

And why is a US energy secretary saying “homegrown” as if the US doesn’t produce oil?

    • dave permalink

      “…why…’homegrown’…?”

Sounds cosy; like saying ‘homecooked’ on restaurant menus, when all they do is re-heat bags of factory food in the micro-wave. Also, politicians always tediously insinuate that the blame for being vulnerable to blackmail from foreigners lies with the sharks in those countries, rather than with our governments, who gave them the leverage in the first place. Shades of Harold Wilson and the ‘Gnomes of Zurich!”

Since the USA and UK elites have done their best to trash everything local, small, and traditional, for many decades now, it is all a bit rich.

“I hate to think “conspiracy” but why is both a US energy secretary and UK energy ministers using “homegrown” in this way? “

Because they are politicians, and politicians LIE – it’s what they do. Virtually none of this magical energy is really “homegrown”, since harvesting it requires raw materials & products which come from other countries, primarily China. This makes it just as likely that our military could be severely hamstrung in a future conflict as they would be due to lack of gas & diesel fuel…

  25. April 28, 2023 9:45 am

I just do not know how this is not seen as a criminal act and an automatic cause for impeachment because it MUST reduce the ability to fight a war…AND WIN which it is all about.
I say that while understanding we have over promoted wilful idiots in the British armed forces who also want to compromise our ability to fight or defend ourselves in the name of saving the planet.
Surely at the very least they MUST demonstrate no degradation of our armed forces to fight in any scenario.

Nations can prevent US invasion by not having any charging points.

As different railroad gauges hampered Barbarossa, perhaps proprietary charger plugs could kill the Americans.

And do the Americans build for 60Hz, or 50Hz? An invasion could fail because they chose wrong.
