Climate Change Hasn’t Set the World on Fire–Bjorn Lomborg

Research has revealed that wildfires are on the decline, despite the mainstream narrative that they have increased because of “climate change.”
Danish author and academic Bjorn Lomborg’s analysis, published in the Wall Street Journal, reveals a large disparity between the actual number of wildfires and the concern raised over them by the mainstream media and politicians.
“Climate change hasn’t set the world on fire,” Lomborg declared. “It turns out the percentage of the globe that burns each year has been declining since 2001.”
Lomborg’s claim is confirmed by the satellite data from the Global Wildfire Information System, which records a consistent decline in the extent of burned areas since the early 2000s.
“In the early 2000s, 3% of the world’s land area burned each year. Last year, fire burned 2.2% of the world’s land area, a new record low,” Lomborg stated.
“Yet you would struggle to find that reported anywhere,” he added.
However, despite wildfires occurring less often, reporting on “climate change” has increased by 400% between 2010 and 2020.
Lomborg pointed out that while satellites reveal that the world is burning less, the media continues to claim that there are more fires as a result of “climate change.”
“This falsely scares everyone,” Lomborg declared. “And that’s not okay.”

NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT 
Meanwhile, true to form, the BBC has published a load of bulls-ordure on their news website today titled: “The extreme summer weather that scorched and soaked the world.”
Send in a complaint, quoting the evidence.
The more people that do complain the better, although expect the response we’re quoting from this website/source/government agency but the BBC is not responsible for the content on third party websites.
But I’ll complain none the less
Interestingly Phillip, the last three complaints I have put in have come back with the comment that they are too busy to respond and referring me to Ofcom to complain that they have not responded to my complaint! So I am saving them up and intend to demonstrate to Ofcom that the BBC deliberately do not reply to factual complaints. All of which will take months, even years, which is exactly whatthe BBC intend.
I recently had my email account hacked apparantly solely to examine who was in my contacts register. AOL helped me by ascertaining where the tracking virus came from. AOL notified me of the exact time and date when the virus infected my laptop and the email from which it entered. It was from the UK Meteorological office in response to a complaint I made to them and copied in the BBC.

I despair of hearing family and friends saying such things as “all these fires, something is going on with our climate”. I know, I have some very gullible family and friends and I do my best to educate them, but I am up against very powerful media.
If separating those fires set by arsonists, the numbers of natural wildfires will be quite reduced … The recent fires in Greece, the police and FDs told that ~60% was deliberatly set. In Rodós (aka Rhodes), it was 100% …
Climate change makes matches easier to strike.
As the fires rage, more carbon dioxide is added to the atmosphere. We are not dealing with high intelligence here …
And yet, proposed disinformation laws around the western world are designed to target not these misleading mainstream media narratives, but to target the likes of Bjorn Lomborg for calling it out. Climate change doesn’t frighten me but rising totalitarianism does.

This really is getting beyond sick, it is quite disgustingly evil. Who the f… do these people like Georgina Rannard and Esme Stallard (oddly rhyming names) actually think they are to produce this vile crap? Hitlerjugend comes to mind.
Following the Mantra of the Left, “NEVER let a crisis go to waste,” the Green Mafia has resorted to calling every hot day and every brush fire a “Climate Emergency.” Facts be damned–“We follow the Science.” Keep in mind that the “science” is fostered by Albert, I made my BillionS trading carbon offset credits, Gore, and a chubby, petulant, pig-tailed teenager also making a name for herself via the Climate Grift. When your arguments fail to convince, you can always resort to the 2nd axiom of the Left, and Lock ’em up!
Given that by “climate change” Mr. Lomborg means what the vast majority of people using that term mean (human CO2-driven, meaningful, shifts in the climate zones of the earth),
he is reasoning from a false premise:
“climate change” does not exist.
All the weather phenomena and surface temperature data is WELL within the bounds of NATURAL variation.

The article describes Michael Mann as a climate scientist. he s an ‘apology’ for a climate scientist. Where he stands out is attacking the messenger rather than the message.
I am reading Mark Steyn’s “A disgrace to the Profession” which demolishes Michael Mann and exposes him and his “Hockey Stickists” for what they are. Liars and charlatans. Excellent book.
