BBC To Put BBC Bloke In Charge of BBC Complaints

If the BBC really think that putting Hitler in charge of the Nazis’ propaganda solved the problem, it shows just how out of touch they really are!

There is only one solution -  set up a truly independent complaints unit, which is not run by the WEF controlled OFCOM:

The (lack of) competencies of the Beeb’s current mob:

“I note your concerns with the accuracy of information in the report.

I checked this and it isn’t focused on the science of combusting hydrogen. It’s focused on comments made by the US president recently in which he favours it. There was a brief mention of it being said not to produce the same Co2 as current fuels …”

Hi Joe, I complained about that article and referred to the BBC Bitesize GCSE section on Water Vapour to point out Georgina Rannard’s clear lack of any subject knowledge. (BA, MA & PhD in Modern History!) I am awaiting a reply and will notify on here what they say.
As an aside, a recent study on hydrogen further revised its “Global Warming Potential” to “the GWP over 20 years for hydrogen is a whopping 37.3 ± 15.1”
      https://www.hydrogeninsight.com/analysis/hydrogen-is-a-more-potent-greenhouse-gas-than-previously-reported-new-study-reveals/2-1-1463495
And yet these Green nutters still prattle on about hydrogen.

Thanks for your comment Ray. It’ll be interesting to see the wording of the response you get.

I rejected the BBC’s response from Phil Young, so I wonder if it’ll concede via its standard second response to save its ECU from having to publicly admit its ‘science’ reporter lacks knowledge of basic physics & chemistry.

Hi Ray! OT, I know, but I’ve always meant to ask about your avatar: are you an old King Crimson fan (as I was/am) or is that your face when some silly s*d suggests we’re facing a climate emergency?

Hi Harry, yes it is the cover art by Barry Godber for “In the Court of the Crimson King” The second band I ever saw live – the first was The Nice. Yes I am an ageing prog rocker and in fact my first ever “properly paid” employment was as stand in bassist at a live concert for the band Audience. I was a better musician than engineer but the latter paid more regularly so I stuck with it..

Great Album! Got a rollicking from the Head Porter for writing the words of ‘In the Court of the Crimson King’ on the wall of my room in college 🙂

Kindred spirits, Ray. I was a great fsn of the Nice. Saw them at Wolverhampron Civic Hall around 1970 when the Five Bridges Suite came out. Emerson, rest his soul, was at his best with Davidson (drums) and Lee Jackson (bass). Still have many of their LPs as I do King Crimson. Cheers!!

I was just going to make that point, but you beat me to it. Or we might say, Colonel Sanders is babysitting your chickens.

Proposing yet another publicly funded ‘complaints unit’ is simply playing into the hands of government overreach.

We have to stop pleading for government organised departments to investigate government departments.

Reagan famously said “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.

We have to stop expecting government to investigate government.

If only we had a conservative government to sort out the “long march through the institutions”.

The only solution is to do away with the licence fee and make it properly commercial. Then it can be as biased as it likes and it can see whether people will pay to listen to its bias. I don’t buy the Guardian and I don’t watch the ITV news.

My concern is that the Hamas-loving BBC will succeed in persuading ignorant MPs to fund their misinformation from taxation or an addition to council tax that you won’t be able to avoid and have no say on.

The article has a paragraph titled ‘Marking their own homework’. But putting the headmaster (Davie) instead of the teacher in charge of complaints doesn’t change that.

Well off topic but for those that fear the power of large unelected bodies having huge affects on our lives, here’s a petition that might be of interest.

I’ll not go into a discussion on this as those interested will already be well informed about the WHO

What would be appropriate would be remove anyone affiliated in any way with the WEF from government, the civil service and any associated quangos and NGOs. A root and branch clear out of these malicious people is required. ________________________________

As if by magic, today the BBC’s Complaint’s Dept makes stealth edits to “Climate change: World’s hottest day since records began” …

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-66104822

…..that Paul’s piece “Hottest Day Evah!” exposed on 6th July.

    Hottest Day Evah!

    Matt McGrath corrected once again.

“Many thanks for getting in touch with the BBC. We take all feedback and complaints seriously.
I am a journalist in the newsroom and have been reviewing your concerns about the article entitled: Climate change: World’s hottest day since records began.

Firstly I’d like to apologise for the delay in replying to you. We have been dealing with a high number of complaints.

I have spoken to the reporter who confirmed that the temperature was an estimate and not official.

We have since added the following line to the story: “The estimated NCEP readings are not an official government record, but are considered an indicator of how temperatures are fluctuating.”

We believe this now accurately reflects that it was an estimate.

Regarding use of the word “reading”, this is not used in the sense of an official temperature reading, but rather a data reading.

However, I do agree that the previous version of the article could have given the impression the temperature was official data taken from a thermometer reading. For that reason we have tweaked the relevant line to the following: “Scientists say the unofficial reading was higher than anything found in the instrumental record dating back to the end of the 19th century.”

We believe this makes it clear the temperature recording was unofficial. Regarding the reference to the instrumental record, we are not saying the reading was instrumental. Rather we are saying the estimate is hotter than any temperature recorded in the instrumental records.

We apologise for any misunderstanding the original report might have caused. Unfortunately, in a busy newsroom inadvertent errors and typos that are usually spotted by senior editors can get missed. However we always seek to rectify these errors when brought to our attention.

I’d like to thank you once again for getting in touch. Your comments have been made available to senior editors.

    Best wishes,

    Cecilia Macaulay”

My complaint was submitted on 8th July, after McGrath’s source https://climatereanalyzer.org/clim/t2_daily/ issued its “Special Notice, 8 July 2023” that warned:

“The purpose of the interactive chart and maps on this page is to view daily snapshots of temperature as ESTIMATED from the Climate FORECAST System. The increase in mean global temperature since the start of July, ESTIMATED from the Climate Forecast System, should not be taken as an “official” observational record.” (My capitalised words)”

In their coverage of the war in Gaza their reporters – Hussain and Jeremy Bowen – seem to have forgotten to use the word, ‘alleged’ when reporting the number of deaths supplied by Hamas. Bowen just reports it as if it was gospel.

Jon Donnison is to join Justin Rowlatt on the climate beat, sources close allege, reportedly.

Seems he impressed all on the W1A top floor with his analytical skills based on understanding the #28Gate narrative in “It’s hard to see what else this could be really… other than climate change” science terms.

      Pick your answer at random:

      A) Brexit
      B) Israel
      C) Climate Change

In all cases the science is settled.
