Tomorrow Tonight: Ireland 2050

November 21, 2023

By Paul Homewood

Ireland’s main TV Channel, RTE, has just broadcast a climate docudrama called “Tomorrow Tonight: Ireland 2050”.

According to the blurb it is a fictitious programme set in 2050, based on present day climate science.

It includes the usual nonsense about Costa del Sols in Galway and cities being moved inland.

But it is really about conditioning the Irish public into accepting the UN/WEF agenda, such as climate lockdowns and eating insects.

Ivor Cummings does a really good job taking apart the dystopian nonsense:

Huh, these docudramas. Education for the future governors ? SO what about 2020 vision ( Need I say what I’m referring to? ) and there was 1984, and from my take on these things, Lord of the Flies. When you’re stuck ON a job in mid winter conditions, t he last thing you want is a Committee decision to go / no go. Leadership ….. into the fire ‘cos it’s warmer there ?
The Geese are flying. Haven’t seen the Heron for a while. No wind here after a very red sunrise but now a watery sun and Cold ( no wind ) 40GW Power demand fairy stable since breakfast but Hz increased …still only around 12GW wind power, Solar ? Heavy dew on top of the panels and any frosted ones not melting in the sun yet. COAL’s newborn King is working on the Horizon, harder than Solar. …
So what was the Carbon & Water, nay, H2O, footprint to make and now to SHOW that DocuDRAMA ?

Seems (UK’s) Channel 4 are also ramping up the climate hysteria, as ‘Kevin McCloud, Mary Portas and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall take their personal fight against climate change to the government’ in “The Great Climate Fight”. These folks may be good at what they do, but seemingly know nothing about climate.

A couple of acquaintances of mine were interviewed for the programme. But their expertise about the climate and renewable energy was too evident and so their contribution was deleted and the series was reduced from three to two programmes. As expected, Huge Feathery-Whippingstock was a complete moron and so his “expert” opinions will be included.

My sides are hurting 😆. Can we think of alternative HFW abbreviations?

Well worth a watch. I am afraid that we are up against a determined group of manipulators whose rhetoric chimes with the youth of today. I have long been a critic of so called climate scientists, many of whom are as thick as a post.
Slowly the voices of the deniers is gaining some momentum, but it will not be easy.. i will post this on POB and get a tirade of abuse from the climate change mob, who now post the carbon dioxide concentration daily along with daily sea temperatures. It is a pity that they do not devote more time into understanding greenhouse gases.

“I am afraid that we are up against a determined group of manipulators whose rhetoric chimes with the youth of today.”

Cultural Marxists have found ‘climate science’ to be an invaluable tool in their fight against freedom. They fight so hard and so relentlessly because they hate freedom that much. They don’t hate you; they hate your freedom.

‘But it is really about conditioning the Irish public into accepting the UN/WEF agenda, such as climate lockdowns and eating insects.’

Exactly correct. It’s not about weather. Whatever the future of ‘climate science,’ they will still hate freedom, and will still be trying to end it.

Gamecock, I cannot fault your argument and I do not readily believe in conspiracy theories but in this case I fear you are spot on. A shadowy group called Common Purpose are Intertwinned with the UN/WEF and we are headed for a dystopian society unless this nonsense is exposed for what it is. Left wing fascists now infest every part of government, academia and NGO’s.

Reading the Dutch press about the beer bottle attack on FvD leader Thierry Baudet it transpires that the attacker was a 15 year old lad of Dutch heritage – who was immediately claimed as a member of AFA Noord, an extreme left wing group who praised his actions. Algemeen Dagblad speculated that the lad was probably of diminished mental capacity, while noting that police investigations continue. Manipulating the minds of children is very much part of that left agenda. Of course, it also allowed the attacker to get close without enough suspicion.

For the Dutch it will have been a reminder of the murder of Pim Fortuijn in the run up to the election of 2002. They go to the polls tomorrow: Geert Wilders’ PVV was the best polling party according to two polls. Interesting times.

“we are headed for a dystopian society unless this nonsense is exposed for what it is”

Please note my warning. When “this nonsense is exposed for what it is,” NOTHING WILL CHANGE. They will still be trying to destroy freedom. They’ll have to find other means, but they will not stop.

        There is not finish line.

Ivor Cummins does a good job and is amusing as well. The serious issue is that many young people are being seriously impacted by all this ECO nudging and end up either depressed, radicalised in to a JSO zombie, or both.

Some stand out comedy moments made watching it worthwhile. The best bit is the ‘ farmer’ standing amongst his crop of solar panels wearing a high viz vest and hard hat. I had no idea they were so dangerous.

For some local context. The current Irish government is a 3 party coalition, with the minor party being the Greens. They have leverage as a consequence. This is also coupled with Irish establishments deference to the EU, which bailed them (and the Germans) out in the aftermath of the great financial crisis. Without the ECB bailout, Irish politics would have had to reform, hence the Irish establishment will not step out of line with the EU, unless it comes to matters of corporate taxation. The EUs green new deal has the promise of free money, so the local politicians mill around it like flies to a dung heap. The only opposition to climate politics comes from a handful of independent TDs ( UK term: MPs)

In Ireland the minister for the environment AND communications is the leader of the Green party. The national broadcaster (RTE) is bankrupt after decades of fiscal mismanagement and relying on government bailouts. RTE are a partner of the climate propaganda outfit CCNOW. RTE has an equivalent to BBCs Justin Rowlatt in the form of George Lee. Lee was their highly paid (€180,000) economics correspondent, who left RTE to become elected as a TD. He quit politics, the pay cut and his ego wanted to be on the front bench, and went back to RTE as their environment correspondent.

RTEs head of news Jon Williams made a public apology for now enough climate propaganda coverage. (https://www.rte.ie/news/analysis-and-comment/2021/0726/1237408-climate-change/)

€5m public funding for Green Party messaging (https://businessplus.ie/news/green-party-funding/)

Climate 2050 Live (€332,000, 80%): Loosehorse Ltd is staging a 75-minute show on RTÉ One that will invite the audience “to jump into a creative time machine” and experience the events of January 2050, presumably as viewed through the Green apocalypse lens.

The overweight American you see in that youtube clip is a Green party member who failed to be elected, Dr. Cara Augustenborg. Austenborg sits on the The Climate Change Advisory Council quango alongside Prof. Dr Ottmar Edenhofer (yes THAT very person).

It will be amusing to watch the way the AGW hoaxers run for cover when it becomes embarrassingly obvious that the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation is
establishing itself in its cooling phase, especially if – as some are predicting – there is substantial extra cooling due to the latest Solar cycle.

Yes it will, but I fear the eco zeolots will concoct a series of “scientific” mechanisms to explain why cooling temps are STILL the consequence of rising CO2 levels. Either that or they’ll massage the temp data to show they’re still rising.

They can massage the data as much as they like, but when people realise the temperature is in fact incontrovertibly dropping they will end up having to find some strategy to excuse the massive damage they have caused to the economy.
Scapegoats will have to be found, I wonder who they will be – not those actually responsible, that’s for sure.

In the 1900-30s it was the Demon Rum. In the 1960-80s, Woodstock drugs, gave politicians pretext to require the Department of Education to develop and distribute audio-visual material on drug abuse to elementary and secondary schools. Just Say No hitlerjugend, ten at the time, are at 46 conditioned by 3 decades of documendacities. Sharknado climate necromancy now replaces Demon Rum and Grateful Dead as existential threats that nothing less than destroying the economy can deflect.
