Sarah Ott spent years believing climate change was a hoax, influenced by friends at church in the US south and a popular right-wing radio host. Here she shares her journey from being a climate sceptic to becoming an advocate for clean energy, with a passion for teaching teenage school students the science of climate change. But it is an insult to all of the thousands of women around the world who actually deserve such an accolade.

Ott says “The more I talked to people, the more I realised that many of them shared my feelings – it was such a healing process.”. Note nothing about scientific objectivity and the scientific process, just feelings and beliefs. This is her problem; she’s lost dispassionate objectivity. Her other giveaway is “I didn’t have that same skill set for climate change” … “and I started to consume other media.”. Note nothing about actually going to the DATA, the source, and studying that.
My Scottish geologist pal growls at this nonsense:

I wonder if our , now famous , host , Paul(frequently mentioned on other websites) is on the BBC 100 Mens List – there surely must be one for reasons of the diversity and equity that the BBC constantly proclaims. Are there enough candidates worldwide for a 100 Trans list?

The Climate Cultists including the BBC are getting a bit desperate. In a cold, wet, windy year for the UK – with some warm and sunny interludes – with a COP about to start with some 70,000 delegates and journalists flying to the sunshine in Dubai and Guteres at the UN spouting nonsense instead of being a peace broker it is a bit hard to keep the AGW/CC/C-E ‘narrative’ going.
If she doesn’t understand ‘the science’ how the hell can she claim that she now teaches it? She shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near children.
It simply says she’s swapped one set of Authority figures for another set. But for the BBC its now the right Authority. Its like medieval religious wars.
Yet she’s old enough to have experienced climate changing. She must be as thick as two short planks.
Yes, it’s so dumb yet they don’t see it. What’s the time period and what’s the normal variation within that time period? If climate should be looked at over 10,000 years, then the change she’s seen is simply minimal natural variation.
Hi Joe, I chased up the BBC yesterday regarding their lack of response to my “factual error” complaint against Georgina Rannard back in October and her lack of any knowledge regarding hydrogen. Astonishingly I got an almost instantaneous reply apologising for the delay but claiming her “department” was very busy with deadlines – COP misinformation probably. They once again assured me that I would get a response.
All this for what is a factual error. I am giving them another 10 days and if no response by then I will refer to OFcom.

Effectively. Gamecock listened to Rush Limbaugh from 1993 til his passing in 2021. He was on a local AM station. Gamecock didn’t listen to radio for anything else, so it was always on that one channel.

On a serious note, what is really concerning is the way I found it had been changed. Basically this article is almost a verbatim rewrite of dozens of other articles circulating on the internet but with the add on of the BBC gushingly adding the top 100 women BS. The other “originals” clearly hadn’t felt the need to clear up the obvious ambiguity but the BBC latterly chose to.
It would also be interesting to know who chose to upload the BBC original to the wayback machine and their reasons for doing so.

One of the guest hosts she might have heard on Rush Limbaugh’s show was Mark Steyn. If there is any justice in the world (doubtful in DC Courts) fake Nobel Prize winner Michael E Mann will get his comeuppance in the new year at the hands of Mark Steyn (acting ‘pro se’, having spent $5 million on legal fees over 12 years over a 270 word article). The video ‘depositions’ conducted by Mann’s lawyer are on MS’s site and highly recommended (hilarious, unintentionally in the case of the lawyer).

Honestly, my first thought was that it was him but then it became clear that she had no penis. I think we are in a period where there is no depth the BBC can plumb that should surprise us.
