Oh, all this is beating around the bush: repeating the old Mantras, frustratingly so because nobody listens or acts upon it.Beyond time to be looking and asking Where is & How to dispose of the many Hydra. Our lives are hell, when you are of healthy & sound mind & disposition, but have to bide by all this eco stupidity. Elites? – huh only by their own reckoning – Scum by mine.

I have been trying to get a list of the 70,000 COP28 attendees, up from the 37,000 at COP27, just who the hell are all these people? I did find a list of attendees from UCL (London University) its just 15, mostly professors, but one is a student who lists her expertise as “Climate Activist”.

I feel sure that the mammoth attendance is due to, Dubai is a great freebie to be all expenses paid, and it looks like my non job is at risk as the climate change scam, to impoverish us, runs out of believers

I missed the 5 attending as “support team” so its 20 in total.

I reckon it’s a shoe in for Justion Rowlatt, David Shukman, Matt McGrath, Georgina Rannard, Jonathon Amos, Rebecca Morrelle, Pallab Ghosh, Clive Myrie plus many, many others from the BBC.

If recent wars are anything to go by the entire News Team of the BBC will get a couple of days each. ITV, Sky and Channel 4 will send most of their reporters.

I would put money on the student as being an official of the student’s union.

I was talking to someone socially yesterday and they were talking about their daughter’s travels and said next she is going to Dubai to COP 28. I just made one negative quip but decided best not to destroy a friendship are they are a lovely couple. They just said she had applied and got accepted. Apparently she is n activist but I don’t think she has any formal science training.

How can one describe the people shown in madmike33’s posts? What a waste of lives? There’s the occasional sensible thread- helping sub Saharan nations etc, but surely all these clever people working with the facts MUST stumble across the fact that Net Zero and the CO2 scare are lies?

There’s the well-known quote (Feynman, iirc):
“Don’t expect someone to understand an argument if their salary depends on them not doing so”, or words to that effect.
