The climate alarmists state that there was no Little Ice Age, No Medieval Warm Period or even Roman Warm Period. Not just these 1000 year cycles do not exists but we are now in the hottest time in the last 120,000 years and its all our fault! That is their incredible stance because ,if any of those periods are true and warmed, then warming like we have experienced since the industrial revolution is normal…. that cannot be allowed to happen. This video explores the just how history has to be changed to fit their narrative.

to be honest these alarmist dont know what the f…. they are or what they actually are trying to achieve, nor do they know , if they achiever targets, what the actually damage will be that they cause.
The climate change emergency cult assert that these were local rather than global phenomena, I wonder if there are studies that disprove the warmists.
Yes, there are plenty of published papers that show certainly the Medieval Warm Period was global. Part of the problem with an initial lack of evidence is down to the differing stages of development between the northern and southern hemispheres. We have written records in the northern hemisphere that don’t exist in the southern hemisphere. It has taken time for geological studies to uncover the evidence of the MWP. The same would also be true of the Roman Warm Period. It would also be interesting to hear the eco-fascists explain how the two hemispheres could be so different as they claim.
I did a bit of research and noticed that Wikipedia is certain that these phenomena were local rather than global and, when first questioned, Bard came up with the same story.
When I questioned Bard further it apologised for a misleading response and agreed that there were studies that showed evidence of warming in The Southern Hemisphere (Cook 1992, Villalba 1994, Kegwin 1996) but that more research is required to be certain.
ChatGPT admitted to uncertainty due to lack of research on the first answer which I thought was more reasonable.

I have never heard of Bard but as to Thikipedia it is exactly what I would expect it to say and there is no way you can edit it to be truthful.

Quite, however, Wikipedia is still a valuable resource as long as it is checked against other sources, and I doubt that the Scott Trust oversee all entries.
With Thikipedia you have to view anything that has a left-right viewpoint as always being the leftie viewpoint and therefore lies. This is enforced if the pages are locked for editing or if you correct them your edit is deleted by the wikifascists. Remember that conspiracy theories are true things the left don’t want you to know until they are no longer important – Hunter Biden’s laptop contents for example.
Whilst ignoring the difficulties in demonstrating it was global (the southern hemisphere is largely ocean or Antarctica) and offering no explanation at to why the LIA or warm periods would only be local. Occasionally Razor as the simplest explanation is they were global. But that simply destroys the climate change narrative. So on we go.

As the heads of government from around the world gather in oil land one has to ask how can this lunacy go on. Lots of air miles, plenty of parties……are we all stupid to allow this to happen. The only hope is that the increasing desperation of this political movement shows that, one can only hope, that the end is indeed nigh for their whole political movement.
Until somebody stops paying for it. Follow the money and most of the trail leads back to the World Empire of Fascists and their acolytes that includes all the American ‘charitable’ foundations – Rockefeller, Hewlett, Walton etc.
All of us on this site, know that Mann is not being totally honest with the hockey stick temperatures. (I could say more but he is extremely litigious (Tim Ball and Mark Steyn)). Just why does the UN lead all this climate change hysteria? It is in the plan for UN to form a world government and control us.
I am rereading, after 50 years, 1984. It dawned on me that we are actually the proles and Winston Smith’s job changing the past is described in the climategate e-mails.

Michael Mann’s greatest skill is in presenting data in a compelling way that reinforces a desired message or narrative. He spliced instrumental data that is resolved in minutes, onto a paleo record that resolves in years to decades or even centuries. It’s what spurred the Climate Audit to look into this and Steve McIntyre and Ross McKitrick wrote a paper discussing the errors and Andrew Montford wrote a book which put the MM analysis in more layman’s term.
Think about that when someone says the warming is the fastest seen in 125,000 years.
The other problem with paleo vs. instrumental records is that some paleo records only tell you what happens in the growing season and nothing about what happens during dormant periods (like fall, winter and spring.) This is important because when creating the hockey stick graph, he had paleo records that extended into the early 1990’s which didn’t show any warming at all while the instrumental records showed a lot. Turns out the cold places like the artic where tree ring data is gathered, didn’t warm in the summer time according to instrumental records, only during the fall, winter and spring dormant period. So Mann had data showing the instrumental record and paleo record should have not been spliced but chose to eliminate the most recent paleo information so he could deliver a compelling message.
70000 attendees flew into Egypt for the climate conference. That must be enough CO2 to grow a few hundred hectares of decent crops.

The existence, or otherwise, of the medieval warm period and little ice age GLOBALLY is absolutely key to the argument. This video is a good reminder of that.
It’s a little unfortunate that he concentrates on evidence from Sweden, Switzerland and Russia. I don’t think there is any dispute that the MWP and LIA existed IN EUROPE, what we want is evidence that they were GLOBAL. The furthest he went is the Himalayas, which actually is not that far from Europe.
He does of course present a lot of references for further afield, but it might have been better to show us some of those instead of Sweden etc.

And yet we have compelling evidence from art, history, geography, literature as well as science. Many currently retreating ice sheets leave behind artifacts from the medieval warm period. It is now simply fraud, a group of scientists have decided they are right about climate change so they make every effort to suppress what contradicts that.
Another aspect of alarmism that needs emphasis is their nastiness. When arguments fail it’s ad hominem attacks. Us rationalists should be careful not to follow them – like moderating adjectives when describing Michael Mann, Is “A Disgrace to the Profession” ad hominem?!
Follow the money, no grants and no publishing unless you follow the mantra. The question is, how do you break the vicious circle?

For all that are incredulous at those unable to understand the basic Physics that would unravel the Climate Scam or why Climate History needs to change, (I was one), James Lindsay has an explanation. It is simple, and it’s applicable to most of those we see afflicted by cognitive dissonance or just plain ignorant, like the Just Stop Oil crowd:
It’s a long video, 62 minutes, and he does digress 🙂 so, in summary, he is saying that what is happening isn’t about the Climate or its History, it’s about their Agenda, it isn’t about reducing Carbon (Dioxide) emissions, it’s about their Agenda, it isn’t about Gender Dysphoria, it’s about their Agenda, it’s isn’t about the importance of History, any sort of History, it’s about their Agenda.
And what, you may ask, is their agenda.
And the answer is Revolution! And that is why they can jump from problem to problem, leaving a trail of confusion behind them. They don’t care about ‘the problems’, or about the people involved.
It’s a Revolution, where EVERYTHING must be destroyed, so that we can BUILD BACK BETTER, and where ‘You Will Own Nothing, And You Will Be Happy’. Just remember those supra-national organisations, like the UN, the IPCC, the WHO, the many NGOs, and, of course, the BBC, that are involved with pushing this woke propaganda.
Do these activists understand the consequences of their folly? While most near the top of the hierarchy will be aware, probably, most of the foot soldiers will not. But, if successful, the result will be same whether they have understood or not.
So it is vital that we do our part and ‘Hold The Fort’, and ensure traditional Science is upheld, along with traditional Engineering and traditional Business, (and traditional families and communities), and Reality will help us win, eventually. 🙂

The tide is turning already, especially in the US and Germany, where so much money has been spent on malevolent causes. It’s because the knock on effects of these woke policies are hitting ordinary people more and more, and they have noticed. And they are doing something about it. It’s a start, though long term change will only occur after the delusional people in positions of power and influence are removed. What cannot be denied is the Earth has two ice caps. For most of Earth’s history there were no ice caps, one ice cap was unusual, two is rare.
Therefore Earth must currently be in one of its rare very cold periods, and melting ice caps would be normal.
How will they explain that?

Paul Burgess is correct in his assertions. I live in Lincoln UK and there is a Medieval vinyard in the ruin of the Bishop’s Palace. It is recorded in the Wren library at the Cathedral that good quality white wines were produced for the local Bishop.
I got up this morning to a hard ground frost on the grass and the local roofs. There was no wind last night so blaming this on air movement from the North cannot be the answer. What is demonstrable, is that on a clear night with low air movement, it gets bloody cold very quickly! Even on the edge of the Sahara desert as I have personally experienced. Thus, the prediction that nights would get warmer with the current levels of CO2, is a busted flush. Still, dry air does not demonstrate any measureable change in the derivative of temperature change at night. Yes, with increased water vapour and cloud cover, but that is weather, not climate change. Over the last summer, there were few nights when sleep was difficult, in contrast to my memory of Sussex in the late 1950s, when we had weeks of very uncomfortable nights.
The problem is that the modelling of climate is only carried out using a method devised by Continental mathematicians who proved unable to solve the very real problems raised by Isaac Newton in his ‘Principia Mathematica’. The idea of a stable physical equilibrium does not exist in his work, his mathematical models are all ‘open’. However, it proved simplicity itself to devise the method used by Euler and Lagrange, of small perturbations around a defined ‘steady state’. Using the linear algebra devised originally by an English mathematician, Roger Cotes, they thought they have circumvented the difficulties hightlighted by Newton. Alas, they had not – they removed the dynamic elements that Newton trusted and replaced them with statics. Perturbation around a defined steady state is the method trumpeted by the climate modellers. However, they have neglected the sensible restriction found in any textbook from the 1820s; that such methods are only applicable to ‘small perturbations’. In any real physical system the couplings between variables rapidly become non-linear – this is why we can only predict weather for short periods of time. The climate modellers, their minds fogged by the idea of ‘average’, sort to impose algebraic certainty on what is a highly non-linear system. You cannot predict the future of any dynamic system using the simplistic concepts of linear algebra – it is merely a closed software based on a set of a priori assumptions.

Computer games – sorry, models models based on physical processes such as radiative physics, thermodynamics and Navier-Stokes equations are not capable of predicting future climate.

Anyone who claims that a purported computer game climate simulation of an effectively infinitely large open-ended non-linear feedback-driven (where we don’t know all the feedbacks, and even the ones we do know, we are unsure of the signs of some critical ones) chaotic system – hence subject to inter alia extreme sensitivity to initial conditions, strange attractors and bifurcation – is capable of making meaningful predictions over any significant time period is either a charlatan or a computer salesman.
Ironically, the first person to point this out was Edward Lorenz – a climate scientist.
Lorenz’s early insights marked the beginning of a new field of study that impacted not just the field of mathematics but virtually every branch of science–biological, physical and social. In meteorology, it led to the conclusion that it may be fundamentally impossible to predict weather beyond two or three weeks with a reasonable degree of accuracy.
Some scientists have since asserted that the 20th century will be remembered for three scientific revolutions–relativity, quantum mechanics and chaos.

You can add as much computing power as you like, the result is purely to produce the wrong answer faster. But for some climate “scientists” I suppose it pays the mortgage…
I agree – the biggest mistake was the labelling of this ‘new’ field ‘Chaos’ – its correct name should be ‘Dynamics’. What we call ‘steady state’ is a branch of statics, with solutions that are only valid for small perturbations. As you say, carrying out mathematical modelling using the wrong mathematical approach leads to nonsense answers. This was all discovered in the 18th century but ignored in the rush for algebraic certainty, which led to neat closed solutions that could be taught. The fact that such mathematics is merely ‘software’ and lacks physical rigour, was ignored. The Navier-Stokes equations, based on partial diffentiation between multiple variables cannot be rigorously solved – it can only be approximated and, in approximation, some aspects of the potential dynamics is lost. So the solution gradually diverges from physical reality. As is found with modelling weather. Climate by definition, is a much tougher problem as the boundary conditions change as part of the dynamics and the planetary system is unbalanced in terms of energy distribution, because of the unequal ratio between land and water. Hence the idea of events like the Medieval optimum and the Mini ice age being only ‘local’ is a physical non-starter that only a ‘modeller’ could believe. Perhaps we need to open our copies of Newton’s ‘Principia’ and eat some humble pie. Certainly, the 18th century man, John Harrison who did that was able to predict with certainty, based on analysing the data of what was there – not what he thought was there, the final long performance of his pendulum clock, which has now been proven.

Garbage in , garbage out! In the days before the internet that was part of the first lesson on using computers. What readings of what ,from where, when, was also part of our Climate Change lectures in the 1960s. So I use both measurements when I hear our M.Ps chattering on about Net Zero. They look at results of searches on DuckDuckG etc and choose the easiest for lawyers and business men to understand. So I recommend in order to reach these viewers.getting the simplest language which can be picked up by a search engine,.into the headings of information from scientists on the internet.
