Is Viner still being paid by UK taxpayers?

Last time I looked the professional scaremonger was still taking it in from the British Council. These people sure know how to access public funds – a skill of sorts I suppose.

The nice part about being an environment/climate savior is you are never held accountable for your predictions and can remain an authority. The other part is publication of predictions in a newspaper doesn’t count as peer reviewed literature and if it doesn’t happen it can be ignored.

Net Zero will take us back into caves, and there are not enough caves.

I live in Newcastle upon Tyne, apparently. according to the ‘experts’ I should have a vineyard as opposed to a garden by now, I haven’t!
Incidentally check up the official atmospheric CO2 concentration readings and pay special attention to those pertaining to the Pandemic years. The increase in atm CO2 concentration is statistically, negligible!

WE don’t know what a ‘climate scientist’ is.

        “You can have the clap…”
Double entendre & euphemisms, that’s the joy & beauty of the English language.
Which way would you prefer to take it ??? (:-))

Hi Paul, that archive page seems quite slow to load and then offers the option to contribute. It is also hard to read on a mobile. Perhaps a good idea to copy the image and text but include the link to the original.

The photos remind me of the 50s and 60s and we didn’t have central heating in those days. Ice on the inside of the bedroom windows at some point every winter. Anyone would think this snow hadn’t happened before and they have the cheek to say it’s because of the Earth’s atmosphere heating up.

I was only talking to my 40 year old son about the snow today. When he was about eight the works Christmas party was cancelled because a heavy snowfall made getting there difficult.
4 December 1981 I was in Munich on a three week training course. I watched this game
FC Bayern Munich 4 – 0 Borussia Dortmund
The open area of the Olympic Stadium, where the Munich teams played their home games at that time, was closed as areas were knee deep in snow. Rummenigge scored twice.

I bet they are pleased that they now play at the Allianz Arena given the huge dump of snow they have had.

But he would have died quicker if it had been hot.

And I’ve just had to spend an hour, courtesy of her-indoors, shouting at the TV while Attenbollocks tells us all that we all need to go over to plant-based food. And ALL of his claims without ANY kind of attribution. But, according to him, whatever the problem, it’s all down to CC. I am really starting to hate the man and the BBC for putting so much rubbish into our children’s heads. I predict tgat it won’t be long before there’s a kids’ movement to ban all CO2 (sorry, Carbon).

On the subject of crickets, that is all you can hear from the HBC and the Guardian over the huge amount of snow around in Europe from France eastwards. In January they were hysterical over some warm weather and crying over the closed ski resorts. One resort has said it has got enough for the whole season – it is only the start of December!! Moscow has had snow since October and Ukraine has been battered by snowstorms which has hindered the Russian advance although the taking of Avdeevka is progressing well.

Have there been any winters that no snow fell in the UK since 2000?

As I recall growing up in the 1960s and 70s, a significant snowfall always was a rare and exciting event. There were quite a few winters when all we got was a bit of a dusting. There certainly was more snowy winters then than there are now but it seems to me that we now might be entering a cooler phase. That would certainly make sense when consider natural cycles in the past.
